Then all the more don't do this online if it's your main line. Risky
Only risky if user has a habit of screwing up, not reading all the FAQs, lacking common sense, expect to be spoonfed, and not proactive in researching and solving issues.

I ported in online without any issues, just had to wait four working days for the SIM card to be delivered. But then again, I am rather competent, so a successful port in is expected in my case.

Eight is not for everyone.

Is your wife on 5G plan on Giga? 5G and 4G is a big difference. Our 4G network are too congested, 5G is another level.

Giga 5G is now using 5G SA network, hence it's faster and lower latency. I'll suggest people who really need mobile network for their work and earn a living, eight will not be a good choice. Let's hope eight can introduce 5G soon. Yesterday, they did a sneek peak saying that they will introduce something soon.
She was on giga 4g. I also thought shld be similar since starhub. So looks like there is indeed some form of priority?

she has been with singtel since day 1 until switched to giga during covid. Both also nev hear her complain b4. Now eight 1 week + nia complain liao🤣

Similar yes, but won't be exactly the same due to prioritisation.

You may or may not even notice any difference.

Cause worried if too many staffs , don't know who to look for

Alright in that case I will be more assured as this is my main line
There are normally only 2 guys at their shop.

Since it's your main line, my advice would be to first read up Eight's TnCs and FAQs from their website, then when you go to Ubi, can ask them anything that you need confirmation. At least won't take up too much of their time. They're on the whole friendly and helpful guys, so IMO let's help them to help us.

Again, don't forget to bring along your physical NRIC.

How to port in my number to my existing eight line? Need to go service centre?
I did online. But didn't want to wait, so did self collection. Process was smooth, went to TPY 99 connection, uncle was quite chatty but got the job done swiftly.

Went home, inserted eight SIM, automatically switched to temp number.

Only issue was my current operator had issue (zero1) so it delayed for 2 days. Had to drop them an email (zero1 side) before they resolved their 'technical issue' and successfully ported in. I wonder if it was delayed on purpose by zero1 side but of course who knows.

Are you saying I can't act entitled, lack common sense, demand to be spoonfed, and never admit responsibility for my own screw ups?

But I want!!!
