Question, is there an alternative way to login other SMS OTP?

I signed up the lines for my parents but I notice I am unable to manage the account easily as everytime I wish to login I need to get the SMS OTP for them and its per account per login.

No other way for now.
Possible in the near future?

Now it's somehow set to auto-recharge, paid with credit card.

I can't login to disable auto-recharge, because it needs SIMS OTP, which obviously I do not have now.

Don't do auto-recharge, or you might get into my situation.

Why can't they verify by email instead ? We don't lose email, unless it's hacked.

I think first thing you should do if your in SG now is head down to your nearest service centre and get it replaced. Or if overseas, drop an email to their help mail to at least deactivate the lost sim first. The recharge portion is secondary as once your lost SIM is deactivated as there's nothing others can do about your account.

You mean defer port in to after 3 Dec? Eight doesn't allow that.

You may want to sign up after 3 Dec to not get charged early termination charge from your current telco. Anyway, $8 is not a promotion, it will still be there.

Was thinking to sign up now and opt for SIM delivery to mailbox, then activate the SIM on 3 Dec to start to porting process. Not too sure if it works this way and will incur any costs from my existing telco contract.

Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Option > Voice and Data.

Thanks. As mentioned earlier, I do not see any menu option called "cellular" after "settings". There's only "Mobile Service" (using iOS 18.1)

But I cannot see any "Mobile data options" after that.

Yesterday morning, i did registration online, afternoon i went to collect sim card, by 10.30pm i received sms that port in successful. Maybe it is this fast becoz i port from starhub to eight, actually in the background is same company, thats why.

Inthe end, i prefer signup online rather than do at retailers, as i dont know what retailers may do/keep with my IC info. So i rather do online, use singpass info retrieval for registration, and go to shop is only pickup sim card.

When i login to check i see there is $8 balance, does it mean the credit is already top up, so 2nd mth i dont pay it will deduct from this amount?

Yes, 2nd month free.
You need to turn on auto recharge so that it auto deduct from the balance.

Understand that eight is using starhub network, I have poor call reception when using cellular n data calls at toa payoh hub as well as serangoon area, has anyone have similar experience?

maybe other telco is better for you.. try and then decide if SH if weak there ...

Seems like I can't receive any OTP when roaming overseas (including trying to log in to eight app)

stumble on a test page, they have plans to launch senior plans. not on their actual site yet, but i guess can lookout for it for your seniors in future when launched

If the main wallet has enough credit, will it automatically deduct from the main wallet for the next renewal, or do we need to login the portal renew manually every month?
