for router, do they throttle?

abt1 yr plus to breakeven purchase.
So far I don't think they got throttle. Quite smooth and constant speed for me so far. For me, since it will replace my home fibre broadband, so the savings reached is even faster, save around 5 times from my fibre broadband.

Oh looks like 8 mobile has a speed upgrade.

Speed test with the Deco X50-5G sim card router.

this speed test not accurate
you go any where, it will still show Queenstown only and speedtest results all the same. Useless site.

May I know what firmware is your deco-X50-5G ?
Mine was upgraded at one time to 1.2.0. It was a mess.
Now upgraded to 1.2.1, it seems much more stable.

I tested before it was around 100mbps. Now around 190mbps. May notnreflect the actual attainable speed but still shows and improvement nonetheless.

But how to port the wrong number?

My number was from M1 -> MyRepublic -> Eight -> Zero1.. When porting from MyRepublic to Eight they use a temporary number for the SIM card.. then port the actual number over.. so i guess this is where the problem started.. somehow the info not updated to my actual number.. but then when i login to Eight account page everything is in order.. the number is with my name...

i don remember other telco use temporary Number when porting over.. correct me if I wrong
I remembered wrongly. Is wrong nric number keyed in but used singpass, how can be wrong

So apparently, Eight staff keyed wrong nric when they doing the port in manually

How come? Any changes in the process?

Previously, I would just send an email and receive the new QR code by the next day. However, this time it took 3–4 days for them to respond, and even after that, I had to go through a verification call the following day before the QR code was finally emailed to me.

Weekdays difficult for me, specially with just 3 location options!
Then don't change phone often lo..this verification thingy started to implement I think when this compromised user from Starhub report police/sued the Telco for losing money/credentials after certain security breach over getting QR esim.

You are tempting me to terminate my fixed broadband now.

My fibre broadband is old plan which is about $60+. Also if use the sim card for roaming, can save there also.
