so yesterday I ported my spare m1 Maxx line to eight 5G (to enjoy the 2 mths free promo). Just realised the free 2 mths is not under "recharge" section

comparing the 5G and 4G signal strengths

But now the strange thing is I cant receive sms when in 5G (e.g. Healthy 365 OTP). Can only receive sms when I switch to 4G. Hopefully will resolve in the next few days, if not doesnt matter since it's a spare number for my Healthy 365.
I feel it should be resolved by tomorrow noon if not today, since it's a Sunday.

I went the same route, rather surprised they did the port on a Saturday at midnight especially since it's not between MVNO's on the same telco.

i assume you paid $14.80 and you get 2 months free.

it appears that your $14.80 plan starts on 31 Jan 2026

the 2 free months are already stacked in the "pipeline" under "Your future plans"
starting on 02 Dec 2025, and 01 Jan 2026. when the 2nd one finishes, the $14.80 plan will start on 31 Jan 2026.

do clarify with them whether this is the case.

Signed up for interest.. hopefully got $8.88 per month broadband for speed of 888mbps!!

Eight will run on StarHub network and use XGS-PON network, you will get at least 3Gbps as the minimum offering.

And it is not possible to have S$8.8 Fibre Internet plan since NLT charges the ISP S$13.5 per month for residential user (1:24 split ratio).

My guess: minimum will be at S$20 per month for 3Gbps plan without router bundle.
