I am taking MRT now from Dhoby Ghaut to Punggol (NEL). The signal strength for eight 4G S$8 plan seems to be pretty decent.

SpeedTest results:
Poco X7 Pro phone

Potong Pasir station, 4G LTE-A connection.

Indeed, Eight 4G fastest speed is faster than its direct competitor Simba 5G speed, nevertheless both are fine for decent usage.

Return trip from Punggol to Dhoby Ghaut
eight S$8 4G plan, Poco X7 Pro phone.

Speed is lower but still quite usable.

During the morning and evening peak hours, the eight speed in NEL train is very slow. Usable, but not so good for browsing Instagram or TikTok Shorts.

majority of users in taiwan still use 4G instead of 5G even now. :p

Ya their 4g very reliable on Eight roaming. Peak hr mrt or mountain also got good reception, can view or post IG video stories

Been to Taiwan many times on their 4G network, honestly speaking, more than enough. You get signal everywhere, go mountain or go tunnel all have signal.
中华电信 ftw ...

They’re not jumping to 5G is because 4G is good enough and 5G is just too expensive. But when I’m there, SIMBA connects to 4G while Z1 connects to 5G.
