Just collected my sim card from Lucky Plaza today, sim was activated but telco shows as starhub instead of eight. Think they never configure it to show it as eight and just show as the original telco eight leased

Thanks Nefairin, Valdyr, clock_ED, thanks for you all input. It seems like it cannot be align to every calendar month due to this 30 days cycle.

My original intention is this eight plan to start and reset its usage on the very first day of each calendar month i.e. all the usage of the data plan, talk time and sms message to reset to 0 on the very first day.

Hello all,

what should I do so that, post port in, (to eight), my eight plan always start and reset on the very first of of each calendar month?

Background: on gym now, and keen to port in to eight with the same mobile number.

Any thoughts, suggestion and comments will be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Buy the plan at the end of the month.

Meaning do your payment on the day you want. it always cycle 30 days
Gym? is that a new MVNO? Strong signal?

Simple, eight has a 60 days inactivity policy before your eight line gets terminated. Their paid plans lasts for 30 days.

For example, 1st January pay $8. 30 January your plan ends. 31 January you don't pay, 1st February you pay, plan ends on 2 March, 3 March - 31 March you don't pay, 1st April pay $8, rise and repeat. Just remember to buy a paid plan on the 1st day of the month, this can ensure the starting date is the very first of the calendar month. Ending date is impossible to end as the paid plan is on 30 days period.
he meant, Zym lah

Deliver to mailbox. I got mine ytd. Just scan the Serial number of the sim and your activation code from email. 11+ eight inform me that my number was successfully ported over.
You waited for how long for the sim to be delivered to your mail box ?

I had also applied on 9 Jul for physical SIM delivery via singpost. But still no sign of it in my mailbox which I've just checked (ie 5 working days).

For my second line, I'll most likely go to lucky plaza to self collect.

Singpost is quite fast. I think maybe eight side something messed up.

Hi everyone, there are some questions I would like to ask and it would be great if you all can help.

1) Does the termination of the free trial line have to be done at the service centre or I can just send an email to them to terminate the line?

2) For porting to eight, can I just sign up online and get the sim card delivered to my address? Able to port over to the $0 plan?

3) Is there any recurring payment for monthly charges? Or it would have to be those top up/one time payment method?

1) They never say anything about termination after free trial. It only say after the free trial, there will be 60 days grace period where you can only receive sms and no calls and data. It also say after 60 days passed liao, you still can still receive sms only. (My guess is the number will soon be in a pool available for new users to choose for registration)

2) Can sign up online and deliver to your house 3 - 5 business days. You are able to port to the $0 after you received and activate the sim card. The instruction on how to do it will be sent to your e-mail after your online registration.

3) it deduct from your wallet first. If wallet no money then it deduct from credit card. You can set up the recurring deduction from account login.

Switching to another telco, so far, no green light for port in for eight SIM, only my ZYM side did manage to port into the telco I want to port my eight SIM to. Will update status soon.
Update: Telco reported that unsuccessful, probably because network selected to port out is incorrect (chose StarHub). If anyone successfully ported out, please share your results. Really disappointed haha
