Hahaha Starhub 4G never improved over the year. I last used Starhub 4G in 2021 and it's still as bad with disconnections at specific spots. Like... going up the escalator at Tiong Bahru MRT exit. Signal will drop for a few seconds before reconnecting.

Go for singtel. Best among all
heard zym is good from the reviews
abandon starhub.

I have my main on Zym 5G. Signed up 8 for the national day 88 days free promo to try out, had it in the spare phone. Good when stationery mostly and in most locations but when on the move will face disconnections haha.

Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

Update from Batam:

Normal calls - Eight (from Batam) unable to call Eight (in Singapore). Also Eight (from Singapore) unable to call Eight (in Batam).

But data roaming, whatsapp message and whatsapp calls (in Batam) are woring fine!

Signal wise am not so sure.. but support is almost 0…

We have issue with porting into eight. Worst still no one can help us.. eight shops are just CSO, and no technical folks will reach out..

Today… day 6 after porting, still no signal. Went down your service center 3 times.
In the last visit, we were nicely told off by the guy that eight have too much to handle and only pay $8 dollars so expect monkeys.

So far porting has resulted us to spend more than just $8,
1) 6 hours of troubleshooting
2) $12 eSIM of other telco purchase to tied this period
3) $10 of parking

Yes, we are using simba data plan now, and it’s very good. They just upgrade to 7gb international data, I am just cautious about their data security.
not sure what went wrong with your porting and after so many days still unable to port over and use.

for me it took them less than 8 hr to activate my port in line last night.
and I'm using it now.

Looking at the numbers generated, are those 852xxxxx & 853xxxxx new or very new numbers? I intend to keep it a permanent number so hoping to get one that is not recycled. I want to avoid the situation of getting a number that might have been used to register for many things already. What about 8477xxxx? I see a lot of these numbers too.
852****** & 853***** from year 2020 now confirm is recycled numbers

Singtel MVNO standard lo. Quite standard lo haha. I have to say I prefer Singtel 5G NSA over 4G though. Extra $5 I think worth la especially comparing to 10 years back a decent mobile plan is easily 35-65.

They have a lot starting with these. Then how to spot new numbers? What are the starting digits? I presume they release by a certain order, right? Like 852 finish, then 853, then 854, etc? But right now I only see 853 like the highest numerical order.
