My apologies, I didn’t know.that. I’ve never used SIMBA except during their TPG launch when they gave 4 SIM cards per NRIC. I have already informed my uncle of this, and yes, he’s using iPhone. Thanks all for correcting my mistake! 🙏
Just got to go to APN settings, put TPG against all options, and restart the phone. Should be good after.

I have a dormant line with Eight that renews every 1st. (didnt recharge it on 1 March)

If I recharge now and renew the same $8 plan, does it start now or it starts counting on the 1st March, following which I need to recharge again on 1st April?

Does eight provide invoice ? I couldn't find it anywhere on the account.
Under Billing -> Recharge History.

It isn't exactly an invoice, however each time you purchase the $8 plan, there is a line entry there. As long as your company isn't too particular, that should suffice as a valid claim.

Another option is to always make the purchase through a Shopee Seller. Shopee provides proper invoices so that could work.

If neither isn't good enough, you will need to find another MVNO.

Has anyone bought 8 sim for one month and then cancel right after? or have minimum 30 days like simba? Going for a trip and it is better for me to get 8 sim to roam.

Eight, like Simba and most others "without contract", has a minimum 30-days so you'll be paying $16 before you can cancel.

Oh, unless you don't have any means for them to deduct the 2nd month, then the line will eventually be terminated.

Can just remove credit card details? then no way for them to deduct.

Ya was talking about eight data esim. If call is important then just sign up and remove cc details after that.

What happen if you exceeded the data or call limit in the plan? Would there be extra charge?

https://www.eight.com.sg/faq-manage-my-account

  • Can I still surf the internet / make a call / send SMS if I have used up all my entitlements?
    We are building pay-per-use functionality, please stay tuned! During the next renewal cycle, the entitlement will be reloaded. Enjoy eight! 🙂
    If you would like to increase the entitlement, you can directly upgrade the plan either via your eight account or head down to the retailers to upgrade. You can enjoy the upgraded entitlement instantly!

Only realized today that the Clementi Central one is also a service centre. So Eight now has 3 service centres. 👌
