Ok thanks for your suggestion, I knew of the 90-days free 5G, am asking for a permanent plan instead of porting in/out every 3 months.
But dont get so triggered ba…
Treat this a permanent 5G, because most people get the perpectual 5G, some used for almost 2 years.

First 90 days are 5G SA connections, very fast (300+ mbps) and smooth like butter .

Day 91 onwards, 5G NSA connections, 100+ mbps, still faster, better than most 4G.
got meh? my first 90days is also NSA leh. I remember zym telling me is all NSA, no SA supported for zym yet

Comparing Johor roaming, Simba seems better than Eight mostly based on my personal usage...
That's my experience as well, thus I choose to roam with Simba over Eight. Seamless.

As for local connection, Eight can be spotty lately, while Simba (5G) either gone for a few seconds otherwise smooth sailing. I realized I can live with that, over my ST experience.

Maybe higher expectations bring on more disappointment...

Lakeside MRT, tested at ~7.05am so is consistent
Eight 4G: less than 1Mbps, cannot even load webpage, whatsapp is slow to send message.
ZYM 4G: 13Mbps down, 46Mbps up. Decent, good enough for me.
ZYM 5G: 692Mbps down, 105Mbps up. Very fast.

Jurong East MRT
Eight 4G: forget about it, cannot even do speedtest.
ZYM 4G: 1.35Mbps down, 15Mbps up.
ZYM 5G: 41 Mbps down and up.

My condo B1 carpark
Eight 4G: always cannot get signal / very slow data.
ZYM 4G: 25Mbps down, 10Mbps up.
Didnt test 5G in carpark

At home, tested in common toilet
Eight 4G: 1-5Mbps down and up
Zym 4G: 16Mbps down, 20 Mbps up.
ZYM 5G: 209Mbps down, 32Mbps up.
thanks for this. seems like zym got good/better speeds

anyone using 5G for your home broadband with a sim-router?

i think most of eight customers are topped-up heavy in it; like myself.

Eight Mobile - if you are reading this it will be good for your end to share any plans for 5G
Your 4G speed indeed got patchy (I was fine with 4G speed; but not inconsistent)

eight is too congested now. Their top-up promo enticed lots of people to sign up and hedged months of funds.

Simba also had this top-up promo and eight simply copied simba top-up promo. Nowadays, I don't really hear much about simba slowness, I think a lot ported to eight and same thing happened all over again.

You don't hear about Simba slowness it's because we have simply given up on using it locally. Only use it for roaming. No complaints doesnt mean it's not bad lol.

Simba is only for overseas calls, IDD calls and roaming. Or if lucky you got stable 5G connectivity at home can use as internet via router. Many glazing zym for 5G at their thread, but I have friends also complaining about certain areas connectivity really bad or airplane mode of death. All posts here doesn't reflect 100% of reality

Simba my main lines and iPads, Eight spares in iPads and spare phones. Simba works well enough at central region home, 5G in east-bound train rides from Buona Vista in iPads, and presently posting from iPad in Hougang Minton Park area with 5G.

And yes, I put my trust in Simba for my crossborder trips, after past horrendous experiences with ST.

Lately found Eight spotty in Harbourfront-bound train from Kovan, even no connection between certain stations.

Unfortunately, still got so many hiam-ing especially when there is no lock in and other good alternatives like porting to ZYM 7.7 plan to get 5G.
But they refused, cause they lock themself in and trying to self justify the torture so they can only come here and hiam

People on the forums and social media are really the loud minority and depending which way the they swing, merely are just echo chambers.
If for some reason, what you typed goes against the echo, you will be cursed for life

Precisely.
Person A having good experience dosen't mean Person B will have a good experience. Vice Versa
