personally i had tried all sort of different situations in bolehland.

while roaming:
call lion city = free
call bolehland no = free

i dun see any sign of VoLTE when i make calls in bolehland. be it roam to celcomdigi, maxis or u mobile.

no extra charges at all, still sgd8 no matter how i call.
Cause Malaysia no 3g
I went vietnam connect 3g cannot make any call or receive call
Only 4g works
All malaysia telcos support volte so you can make call

Hmm, 5G SA still got so bad speed. Where is the location?

For certain underground locations all networks are not good enough, no matter Singtel/Starhub/M1/SIMBA.

My Singtel 4G LTE tests (Singtel SIM Only plan, forced my phone to use 4G LTE for the tests) last Saturday 25-Oct-2025, North-South Line.

I will carry out tests with Eight 4G as well when I got the chance (usually only taking MRT over the weekend, as I commute to work using Public Bus).

If got chance, I will also try Singtel SIM Only 5G vs Starhub 5G vs M1 Maxx 5G, probably next year.

I see.

You may want to check signal level to see if it is due to low signal level. I use NetMonitor app.

I have done tests which shows 5G SA speed can be slower than 5G NSA in certain cases. You may want to disable SA and see if 5G NSA is better or the same.

You can even try 4G LTE.

signal is similar to my singtel sim only, between -88 dBm to -95 dBm. i am thinking it may be slow down/or congestion

nv mind, connected to home wifi and continue scrolling :s13:

So M1 Maxx 5G is basically the same as Eight 5G. But then M1 Maxx 4G LTE fallback will not be as good as Eight 5G plan.

That is why I will prefer Eight 5G plan than M1 Maxx if I need to really use the plan.

But since now I am just testing non-Singtel networks, I just try the cheaper Eight 4G first, then Eight 5G, later I will also try M1 Maxx and SIMBA as well.

A bit lazy to carry out two phones so I have to test one by one. My Poco X7 Pro is a good phone but it does not support eSIM.
Poco X7 Pro is dual SIM slots, front and back, so u still can use two networks in 1 phone right? 🤔

Yes, one SingTel SIM Only (my main number) plus one extra card (Eight 4G as the first one) for testing.

The main SingTel Mobile number has been there since 2013 (Singtel Mobile Combo 2 and then SingTel SIM Only since late 2020).

Before that I used StarHub Prepaid as the main one and that number is still alive (just for number parking) as well and it will be converted into StarHub 5G Prepaid S plan (postpaid plan in reality).

Anyone knows if my eight plan has just expired and is now into the 60 days grace period, can I still port out successfully? Cant really find a definitive answer on this forum.
