This has been there for a while, since MyRepublic's 5G eSIM is already using Starhub's infra.
Just a matter of time before it will be released, my guess will be probably by next iPhone release.

Singtel likely to be the slowest though they also do provide eSIM on prepaid for tourist SIM,
Surprisingly, SingTel has MVNO supporting eSIM (Vivifi) but StarHub doesn't. Not really counting MR since it's only for 5G

Interesting that they would sell this through their StarHub app and not the StarHub Prepaid app like SingTel does.
Its wiser to consolidate to one main app for simplicity sake imo, no point maintaining 2 seperate apps.
But oh well, typical SG way of running systems.

Generally I agree, but in this case, unless StarHub absorbs the current prepaid app into the main app, it doesn’t really make sense?

Yes, currently only for tourist as per link that I provided.
I have a prepaid plan with StarHub, wonder if I can sign up for this Tourist plan and then port that number over, just so I can have eSIM functionality 😅

Suggest to check first before porting out and back in.
Doubt you can directly port in since you are currently w SH.

Porting prepaid numbers across carriers is almost impossible from my understanding but within the same carrier, might be different.
Sadly, it’s so new, I doubt StarHub agents are too familiar with it.
When Singtel first launched eSIM for prepaid, they ended up just giving refunds to failed activations instead of trying to troubleshoot in-depth

You can actually port among the telcos but its more of a manual process I believe.

Likely the case, even if its exisiting products, agent knowledge is subjective with each individual agent.
