For those getting the new iPhone 8 series, just be reminded that the overall battery capacity is smaller then current iPhone 7 series despite being slightly thicker and heavier.

But Apple itself said the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have "about the same" battery life as their respective predecessors...

The battery capacity on the iPhone 8 Plus is reduced quite a bit...

Chipset are more energy effective hence the smaller battery but still maintain the same life as the current 7.

Reduced battery life but more chipset more energy efficient so battery life remains the same. Nothing wrong with it.

Yes, it's a good phone, I am using the SE now but will likely change to iPhone 8 soon, wish the X could be lighter. I hate heavy phone.

I think because of the A11 chip and its energy efficient component, that's why they are able to drop the battery capacity and maintaining equal battery life to its predecessors.

Not for me. For me it's all about weight and dimensions. Smaller and lighter is the prefer choice for me, that's why I am still on 5SE.

so far about 2 yrs of using my 6s, I can get about 8hrs on just wifi. but when I start using 4G usage drops to 6hrs or less...

I see, well logically this make sense. Based on your experience if you have any, which of the 3 telcos do you think has a better 4G coverage?
