I want power effective chip + big battery. Period. Just because the chip is effective I can drop the battery to match previous generation? lol. I know a few die hard here, including that few who replied here would think it's ok.

I do not want that.

I want better battery life of cos.:D
Exactly. Every single phone manufacturer now is aiming status quo for battery life. Why? Because they want phones that are super slim, or not much thicker than the previous generation.

But is this really what consumers want? A slimmer phone over one with better battery life?

I see, well logically this make sense. Based on your experience if you have any, which of the 3 telcos do you think has a better 4G coverage?

I was asking for the reason why it will be bad, but it's okay now. The above replied me already.

I'm not sure that is e only reason. in places with good signal I can also see my batt draining in front me. I always read of good battery life for ppl in e US. seems like their 6s/7 can easily last 1 whole day. wonder what is e difference with e 4G over there 🤔

Yes. I heard and saw it on some of the reddit forums too.

Must be using StarHub with lousy signal. Using SingTel here and can easily last one whole day.
I'm on SingTel 4G. LOL

I am not facing any battery issues because I literally do not use my phone at all.

I don't know the logic of this when USA itself has bugger land area and more challenging to maintain optimum coverage.

Rmb the iPhone 4 antenna gate? Reports have shown that one of the contributing factors for Apple to issue a free case to mitigate antenna gate is because of the lower coverage issue in the country. In Singapore, there were cases of such issue but it was reported much lower due to our telco network..

Phone expends more charge to obtain a better signal in areas with poor signal.

I’m upgrading from a 6s as well. Although I’m leaning more towards an iPhone X, here’s what you get on the 8 that the 6s lacks:
- water and dust resistance
- better 12MP camera (dual cameras on 8 Plus allow portrait and portrait lighting)
- better 7MP front camera
- true tone display
- A11 bionic chip
- Qi charging compatibility
- Generally nicer design (glass back with no ugly antenna lines)
- stereo speakers

I was initially worried about the lack of headphone jack but ever since I got a pair of beatsX for free with my iPad Pro, I never used wired headphones again. Apple supplies a pair of EarPods with lightning (with iP8 you can use Qi to charge and listen to music at the same time) and a free 3.5mm adapter if you’re still worried.

At the end if the day you have to ask yourself if it is worth forgoing the jack to get the above listed features in return. I think it’s worth for water resistance alone, though there are still many who believe the lack of headphone jack is a major sacrifice.

How's the space black for the iPhone 8? My current jet black iPhone 7 paint is dropping like crazy.

Hold 6S and thinking of the same issue as well. Another thing to note is u need to pay extra for wireless earpiece or the wireless charger. Can don't spend extra also but that means some new features are rather useless for you. Haven decided yet but I know next year on-screen Touch ID is the one I'm looking for.

True, though I think prices are starting to drop for wireless chargers and headphones in general.

Thinking of getting the ikea desk lamp that has a Qi charger at its base. Since I need a desk lamp so it's nice to have a 2-in-1 solution.
