Is it possible to charge iPhone 8 plus with Huawei Quick Charger 9V 2A (18W)? or safer to charge using 5V 2A (10W)?

Should be possible if the device "recognises" the charge mode and will charge accordingly.

As above, I am getting about 5V/1.7A charge using my Anker multi-port wall charger which does 5V/2.4A MAX.

Will test using my Anker QC 3.0 wall charger tomorrow and post the result.

So should you change to a 8 from a 7? NO. Then why i change? Cos my jet black 7 paint peel like no one business. lol

The vendor recommend 5V2A instead of 9V2A cos higher voltage not good for the phone.

There might be some truth to that but it doesn’t matter since it depends on what power rating Apple accepts. I just tried charging and my i8 will not take more than 5V/2.1A anyway.

Safest voltage for charging phone and getting the most capacity out of your battery would be to charge it at 5V/1A (original Apple charger).

wonder how much is the street price for the 8plus now. I looked into carousell seems 1150. Some can lower to 1100 lowest.

Does anyone think it'll get lower anytime soon? or after X is out.

thinking of backup I cannot get X, might as well get the 8plus.

Managed to get a used for 1k with apple leather case and decent TG. Guess people are offloading their 8plus to make way for IpX.
