You cant predict the rates would go up or down.
You can only use the past rates trend to determine, if last few days rates are going up, then you change today, the rates might be on the up trend.

Marina Fountain and arcade provides good rates.
However, think arcade rates are higher, maybe more stores there then more competitions One store change THB higher, doesnt mean their HKD might be high. But difference wont be big, maybe 6.16 and 6.15 for HKD.
So must check different currency rates if you want to change different currencies.

Very easy to break and commonly used. No worries.

No worries, can always break your notes in convenient stores. There is always one literally at every corner of each street.

No matter how good, it has lose it's advantage to changing at arcade and each transaction you lose about 30NT, may not be a lot but still. Unless you cannot find time to drop by Arcade, Raffles place, then there it will be your best option.

Solely depends on how much are you or they are changing. Normally, it will be at least 500SGD and above. If you say 1-200SGD, then can forget it. Change airport also can.
