BTW, I think you should investigate the numbers further, regardless of the result so that we have a rough idea of how much of the 10% swing was due to new citizens & new voters.

i know that it may not be entirely due to them but we should then at least put doubts to rest when we have the numbers.

btw, my senior citizen mother also voted for oppo but said that at her workplace, many 20+ yo young girls are loyal to PAP. they even tell my mum, "aunty, u must vote for pap, ok?". my mum reply," why should i, when i am still working in my 60s, cannot get my CPF out, my middle age son & daughter are both retrenched & replaced by FTs ?"

70s to 80s age group Pappies are dying off. ( eg. only 1 out of 4 grandparents left )
50s to 60s age group are dulan abt their CPF ( eg. all my parents & uncles,aunties )
40s age group are dulan abt losing jobs to FTs. ( eg. me , my sister, my friends )

30s age group are worried in 10 yrs time, they will suffer the same fate. ( eg. most edmwers here )
