living in sg is a heaven for all ladies not only the sinkie GCP. modern and safe city, lots of shopping ctr, no gender discrimination more importantly no job discrimination (look at japan), freedom to date any type of guys (local, overseas, amdk..), go on dates bf pay, got wedding husband pay, got baby can enjoy maternity leaves and baby bonus, got family no need do housework can leave to maid. divorce liao also got WC to take care.

I voted WP cause I wanted alternative voices in parliament and I don't believe elderly collect cardboard for exercise.

My mom vote pap because she receive MP help before. My sister is just a daft sickie who believe mainstream media with all her heart.

I'm younger and make more than my sister so i still don't understand why she of all people will be supportive of the pap.

I m not referring to all but quite a few of my female friends seem to have no identity of their own. Most of them seems to follow blindly by what their bfs, gfs, Tv, news said.

Yea, most of the young female voters just vote just for the sake of voting and they will just vote for PAP coz they know who is that. I got few female frens who dont even know their oppo GRC or even follow politics. And most of the policies affect them one , so they wont feel the heat. No NS, no ict no ippt, dont need to chase for money coz got parents and bf who will support..

Anyway, I agree that to some extent female voters favour PAP. But maybe becos male and female has different priorities?

Not saying they are myopic but males generally will think bigger picture. Female look at only current status, they don't think far one.

Know of 2 guys. In their early 40s.
GuyA - stay HDB. 2 kids ard 8-12, dunno how much he earn but recently scrapped his 10yr old Korean-made car and decide not to buy a used car due to hi costs, and started to take BMW.
I would assume his salary not alot coz at 40s can't afford to buy a used car.
He was quite disturb about it, giving up the convenience.

GuyB - my BIL. Stay HDB. 3 kids 6-13. Earn ard 5k, wife 2k, no car. IT industry, good salary when he entered into workforce in mid 90s but salary stagant with many FT in recent years.
Always complaint high living costs.

hmm that based on this thread hor. can conclude that actually pap doing a good job. and that opposition are voted because of "alternate voices" meaning opposition for the sake of opposition.
