When is your Special Edition arriving? You also have access to another Fitbit Versa now, am I right?

Fitbit is distributed by Ingram Micro in Singapore. I assumed it was different distributors for different countries. I found out from Quora that Fitbit is distributed by Ingram Micro worldwide. Read the reply to the question by Deborah Tang.

https://www.quora.com/Who-manufactures-the-Fitbit-http-fitbit-com

As you said, pray everything goes well. :) If the unfortunate happens, try to position your case. It's the same company technically, so you may still be able to get help.

My Versa SE still on the way...according to tracking, just left US. So should be next week then receive.

Yes, got another unit bought from Challenger, so this one I not scared. But batt life seems short...but I can't really monitor since my Dad is using it. Will check with him some time later how is the batt life.

I was reading this from Fitbit forum about buying from authorized dealers.

"Warranty support is provided for trackers purchased in any of our official retail locations - this includes international purchases. If you need assistance, you should contact our Support Team at http://contact.fitbit.com and let them know".

So maybe got international warranty. But SG as usual, somehow so different from other countries one. May not honour the US purchased one.

Did you buy from Amazon? I think that is one safe retailer among others. They say it is Fitbit store. Anyway, let’s pray all is fine.

Now for battery obsession. I used mine for 4 days 2.5 hours before it went to zero. It was showing 3% before it suddenly ceased to become responsive. It took 1.5 hours to charge to 100%. By the way, this exercise of letting the battery drop to zero is not for the faint hearted. When you plug in the charger, nothing happens, so can be scary. I happened to be busy, so I just left it alone.

To conserve battery, I reduced my alarm clocks from 5 to 2 over the last test cycle. Fitbit guideline indicated alarm clocks consume battery. Although I have Quick View on, I plan to manually turn it off at night and on in the morning. I turned off All Day Sync, set Brightness to Auto and have Backlight delay to 10 seconds .

I am now using the Fitbit Layers clock face, but I may decide to create my own clock face later, once I figure out how else I can conserve battery. If you can code, you might want to take a look at Fitbit Studio. It comes with a Simulator for you to test your code, so you don’t need to run on a physical watch.

As for battery indicator, I feel it is more algorithm than hardware. It is guess work on the OS side. Somehow I still think the problem lies in Fitbit OS more than the battery itself. In general, people recommend depleting the battery before charging it. I am still trying to figure out whether I should let it drop to 0 again or I should start charging at 20%. :)

Mojito Redemption just follows instruction. Chances are you have to talk to Fitbit directly, before you can confirm/negotiate a warranty activation here. You have a valid reason for buying from US. Fitbit Versa product marketing was confusing and it was unclear if Special Edition was ever going to be available in Singapore. Anyway, I will join you in prayer for your SE. :D

My Dad just use it for the notifications, steps and sleep analysis only. Don't use the rest of the functions much. Alarm I not sure. But as usual, the answers he gave me for my questions to him are usually not the actual things he do one. That I am very sure. LOL. Anyway, let him use and see his feedback. I wait for my SE then test myself.

No need to pray lah...lol. What will come, will come. :)

But seriously, the strap is a PITA to change

Is the heart rate accurate ?
I just tried Apple Watch demo set and it show my heart rate 55bpm... a bit ridiculous -_-

Measured manually and it should be around 88.. :(
That’s why thinking of getting Fitbit Versa to monitor

Alarms not bad. Everything like Apple watch. But I like fitbit's app etc for fitness, auto sleep tracking etc. Was using the charge hr and Apple watch series 1 previously

Really want to try tracking swimming with this though. So far only bathed with it.

Bought mine from taobao :s13: Qoo10 have. But not cheap

How Long is the delivery? Got my versa today but worry that the screen will scratch so didn’t wanna open it. From the Fitbit community forum, many mentioned that it’s very easy to scratch. Was hoping there’s a physical store that I can just drop by and buy.

Senior citizens would appreciate all those features your Dad is using. :) Only thing is they may complain Fitbit is expensive. Irony is, this same group can accept Rolex price tag.

I just ordered straps. Thanks for warning me it is PITA to change. :s13: Enjoy your SE when it arrives. :)

I just compared my Omron BP machine measurement with Fitbit. Omron says 74, Fitbit says 76.

Not sure bout how easy to scratch, first thing I apply the liquid coating Liao. While waiting for the screen protector.

Can confirm, the Special Edition only comes with the woven strap but not the standard black one?

Thanks....Oh, just saw another video...the reviewer guy changed the strap quite easily. Guess the one I changed is one of those PITA ones...lol

Locally in sg, there is no special edition. The two woven strap models do not contain a second band.
Unless you buy the special edition from overseas

Ah...my SE (on the way) is from US, so I thought he was referring to the US version.

Challenger Bugis has the SE version for $358. $345 for member. Cones with the extra classic band like the US.
