haha ndu does indeed change a person's physique much, ask him to try that same pair again 1 yr after ord. :)

OT aside, when customs lose their original fit n seal, is it possible to attach eartips like the ones they do with the demos?

It makes one wonder if going universal is more worth the buck than the extra isolation & comfort..

Sadly there isn't. But I do know friends who choose to put the model name as the initials on their customs.

Especially when one has all of them clear in order to be low profile... Then that's the only way to differentiate between the models. Short of comparing serial numbers... ;p

I have recently purchased a BTG Sunrise cable..man the TG334 has become extremely smooth with tame highs and extended bass.

At 110USD for a copper/half sleeves/and viablue 3.5mm plug, its really something value for money....

I'm considering a secondhand 334 universal, what's the price I should expect? They seem to retain their value too well. :s13:

Why not go straight to customs? Save you some money in the long run without having to by the 334 uf.

I almost went for the UM Merlin. I haven't managed to audition 334 for myself but it seems like the kind of Shure 535LTD/Heir 8A kind of sig I'm looking for.

Just shopping around. :s13:

TG334 are still on very high demand at countries like US and EU who has low stocks/no distributor at all. SGeans are just blessed with everlasting stocks for them.

I recall that the RRP for the 435 is $2500 now. The 335 should be between $200-300 more.

If you have the TG 334, the 435 is a nice complement. I know if a few people who have the TG and the 435. The TG has a very organic bass with slow decay, whereas the 435 is more balanced and transparent, while retaining slightly sweet mids. Its bass is tighter than that of the TG.

The 335 has too much bass emphasis for my taste and my music selection which ranges from Popera, jazz, classical, mando pop, acoustic vocals to instrumental. I demoed it out of the AK120 and HM-901 (on IEM card)'with the same results. Tried it about 4 or 5 times with same results.

Just my thoughts.

Buy to what you want and test it yourself instead of listening too much so called sharing information in the forum

Positively is "sharing" but if you to drill down deeper might not be the case

You are given the wrong information and cam mislead you as your liking might be totally different from the respective person

You must always ask the right question to the right person for a right answer

Finally Happy Chinese New Year to all

"To my ear" you are totally wrong if you say TG334 is same as Shure 535

Do not be lazy, go and listen and decide yourself as that is the best and correct answer

Thanks for all the advice :D

I did head down to Jaben one time and I demoed the whole lineup except 334 which they didn't have a demo set for. I didn't like the 111 and Parterre. There was one which sounded very slow yet sweet, I think it was the 435.

Haven't had the time to head down to all the headphone festivals. Also trying to protect my wallet :p

these are my thoughts of 334 since u interested in getting one but havent listen to a pair before

the mid bass of the 334 made the music seems a little unnatural to me.. maybe its cause of the genre i listen to.. i listen to live, acoustics, jazz ..
the bass of the 334 is good but lacks the timbre of instruments

also is the cable which is much more difficult (the stock cable is much stiffer) to manage compared to the typical ES2 cable.. and aftermarket cable which i tried like the SXC24 by ALO Audio will curl into a mess and will retain the curly shape after some use even when u try to straighten it

another issue will be warranty issues, though built like a tank, no one can predict when they do break down.. and most 334 you see on sale on forums right now, MOST do not have warranty anymore.. there was a period where it was OOS everywhere as it is now and most on sale are the stocks prior to that..

also, buy it only if u really like it and not for the sake of owning the hype and exclusivity , for that price you can pretty much buy almost any iem out there.. if your issue is that you prefer a universal.. you can also buy almost any universal/demo fit of any customs out there liao.. like universal JH13PRO FP, etc etc.. or maybe top up a little bit.. with that kind of price that 334 are going for
