Hi! I'm doing my research on FF. I'm with VA at the moment (signed up 2 yrs back because work was so near to the outlet but damn covid) so now it always takes me an hour to travel to the nearest outlet. Thinking of FF since amk hub is near but reading this forum it looks like ask is rather busy? I don't use a lot of gym floor (mainly running and classes) so I'm not sure whether it would be a good experience. Also, what's with the prices these days? I looked at platinum with classes and it's even more expensive than my current VA membership... Also not sure when international passport will resume.i need it as I travel frequently for long trips :( It's weird they don't have that yet when virgin resumed months back. I really want to switch but so many factors to think about. Anyone moved from VA to FF? Is it worth the jump?

I’m with FF now on platinum passport membership able to access all clubs for all classes x2 prices because my spouse has the same membership too! Due to opening up and work commitments, we visit around once or twice a week at most!

Went to the AMK Hub outlet for close to 10 years, and it is pretty sad overall. Cramped and crowded most of the time. They went overboard with the measures during COVID and blocking alternate machines and spaces, while other outlets in town did not do that. Have given feedback multiple times on equipment with problems and they basically just ignore feedback and don't get back to you. Not worth the membership price, IMO.

That's so disappointing to hear! The only draw is the proximity :( What about classes, my favourite is body pump, are they usually booked out early?

Booking for classes has been quite a breeze nowadays since covid restriction was loosen and capacity increased.

Ugh that's not good :( For around the same price as VA it looks like they have a lot to catch up. Sigh
Indeed they have to massively revamp and revitalize their business model and facilities to be relevant and stay in the local SG gym/fitness market as the No.1 brand and gym in SG. Today their price adjustment last seen in 2019 was announced in 2022 membership is now at $199 per month.

I am currently a member at Fitness First, and was previously a member at Virgin Active.

There are some pros and cons to Fitness First.

Pros
  • If you are a cardio and HIIT lover, the classes are pretty decent. They are not comparable to the swankiness of Barry's but if all you need is a good workout, there is a huge variety of classes available.
  • Multiple locations across Singapore at an affordable price point per month
  • Quite a wide selection of gym equipment available
Cons
  • No frills
  • If you are looking for more combat workouts, there is a limited selection available
  • If you are looking for shorter-term membership, it gets as costly as signing up with Virgin
Some classes that I really enjoyed at Fitness First are BodyCombat, BodyPump and BodyAttack. If I am not wrong, they are all following the LES MILLs program.

How do you find Fitness First compared to Virgin Active? I find that for $198 per month Fitness First is really no frills and very basic compared to Barry’s at Raffles Place or Orchard that offers classes at $20 per class under Barry’s Legend!

How is the morning crowd at Fusionopolis outlet? Looking to go in the mornings (8 to 9) but would like some expectation first 😅

Fitness First customer service is very bad! The front counter has terrible attitude and the whole gym is super crowded with nasty users that’s selfish and not sharing i.e becoming quite toxic

i check the platinum pass is $150 now only. 135 for one home location and 15 additional for platinum pass can jump around. can i check anyone who frequent the Fitness First - Capital Tower is it pack in the early morning on weekdays? then for the 100am outlet can access the amara pool or still close off?
