Nowadays, how's the rate for FF? Is there any customized plan, like going to your local ff and several ff of your choices? Since I know in some countries there are these kinds of plan, so you will pay less than the global access one.
Almost 1 year already in global access and thinking of switching to those kind of plan. Could use some saving since going to marry this year hahaha....

If you are saving money why choose FF since it is one of the more expensive one around.
Found a website an angmo did some comparision but from the url seem to be a 2009 rate nevertheless can use as a reference.

I know what you mean by that. To answer this, I agree with vurtomatic's post if not mistaken several pages back on time vs the easy access and etc. I chose FF, because I basically live and work at east area. So having to travel to the city on weekdays would be gruesome.
Before FF, I went to those CC one, but the crowdness is killing. You have to wait 15 minutes to use some equipments.
I chose global just because the difference offered is really not much. 13 dollar difference if not mistaken per month, so just go for it at that time.
I'm not saying FF is not crowded. There are times that the place is quite pack but I can always find alternative (barbell vs bar).

At first thinking to move to TP at Tampines but review is not showing positive sign hahaha...
Anyway everything still in consideration.

Thanks for sharing the link bro..

I notice the trainers at FF AMK doing more functional stuff with their clients these days. Not bad.

TRX, Viper (???), I even see a tyre lying around.

TRX, and now Viper, are also catching up in True Fitness.

But recently I saw them making their clients do 'tire-flipping' using the 10kg viper, in horrible camel-back form. :D

Don't you just hate it when people take legitimate training tools, b@stardize them, and then give them a bad name? It's "functional training" all over again. In fact, I bet that's what gave squats and deadlifts a bad name with the orthos and sports doctors. Get a bunch of "personal trainers" who don't know the difference between their triceps and triceptosaurus, get them to teach unsuspecting aunties how to squat/deadlift, and BOOM! Instant disc hernia and torn meniscus.

But I give them credit for trying new things and progressing. After all we bitch about them using machines and performing half-fvcked squats, if we bitch about them b@stardising other stuff, then it's kinda no-win for them.

I am wondering if there is any FF PT reading this forum. As FF got many branches so there must be a lot of PT. If they r and saw us commenting about their way of training will they try to improve? Or just that they r bounded by the company standard way of training and they cannot train their client the way they personally wanted. For example he know ATG squat is better but if he train that way his manager saw or other PT saw and he will be question??

I suspect it's ran like a franchise so there're 'standards' to adhere to. That way the trainer is 'protected' as long as they follow the book, just like army food follows the food pyramid.

i think the full time "newer" trainers might have "standards" to adhere to since FF do have their own inhouse trainings to take and pass.
For the other trainers who are freelance, I dont think they are bounded by these "standards".

But how client know they are freelance or not? What about full time older trainer? Gotta adhere to standards too
