That kampong chicken with garlic has been around for donkey years liao. Since 10 over years ago :) Still so little portion ah? *tsk tsk tsk*

Its quite a relax place to sit back and drink some beer under the stars :) 5mins drive from my place.. :p

went melben last evening for friend's farewell dinner.
had the shimmering sand, chilli and salted egg crabs, bamboo clams and cereal prawns.

chilli crab has a nice gravy, the spice really burns only after swallowing... salted egg crab is deep-fried? no gravy... but very fragrant, unfortunately i am not a fan of deep-fried crabs unless they're soft-shells... coz i don't like eating shells :(
cereal prawns are alright, nothing distinctive... just regular nice cereal prawns

still wish they have baguette or bread besides those tiny "mantou"
only took pics of the bamboo clams... will upload later tonight :)

oic.... wow how often u eat there...? it's been several years since i last ate there liao.... :( ate there several times so i think last time i oso got try other crabs like hua diao... which is steamed crab in egg white + 花雕酒... not sure if they still have that... but i remembered i liked it... :D

bout once every 3-4 months i guess, but yesterday was special coz my friend's farewell dinner (specially requested to eat there)
the steamed crab still have, but i never try before

i think steamed is good... i like steamed seafood like crabs... prawns... fish.... but of cos they MUST be fresh...! the good thing about steam is that can taste the sweetness of the flesh w/o being getting over-powered by the sauce... :)
