It's fixed in the a73 series. The a6000 that only records in 1080p doesn't overheat.

Aiya you go Flickr type in the camera model and see photos taken by others with the same camera.

i think it is very hard for your scenerio to happen.. smartphone cameras will not change much hardware wise but it will improve greatly in the software department like fake bokeh, aftificial intelligence image recognition and post processing, greater dynamic range through software etc.

reason being larger sensors means larger lenses that will protrude out more and take up more internal space. given the trend that most manufacturers are going after: bezel-less, longer battery life, removing headphone jack to save internal space, very little chance to see a large incerase in sensor size in the next 2-3 years.

Currently, the handphone makers are increasing their sensor sizes and adding AI.

The next frontier for handphone makers could be on thinner lens and faster auto focus on moving objects.

I believe the handphone makers need to have stronger partnership with camera manufacturers.

But zoom far need longer lens.
My main concern is I can't bring DSLR to concert or indoor stadium lol.

Mainly I use it for concert or simple event.
Can take nice photo and video can Liao.


Notice my LX5 too old already..can't give decent photo compare to note8. The photo was blur and not sharp.

D5000 with kit lens. It is 2nd hand unit but the owner said he rarely used it; indeed it looks very new. I got it at a really good price <$300 and I hope there is no defect.

The key reasons for choosing this over D3400 are the much lower price, integrated dust cleaning system and articulated screen. It has no wifi but I'm okay with this as I intend to get a data cable to connect the camera to my handphone for more reliable and faster transfer (https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...s-videos-from-your-dslr-your-android-0177420/).

what i realised is that you have to enjoy the experience of using the camera to enjoy photography. the D5200 is about $150 more expensive that the D5000 but the experience of using it is so very different. It focuses so much faster, have a much higher resolution, sharper display, articulating screen makes more sense etc. I liked the experience so much that I shoot almost 5x as much photos on the D5200 compared to the D5000 in the same period of time.

What i want to bring across is no matter what camera you buy, dslr, mirrorless or compact, you need to enjoy the experience of using the camera to enjoy photography. that is the most important.

I agree that a nice camera will make the photography experience much more enjoyable. I nearly bought the Pentax K-70 that cost >$1,400 a few weeks back. Just before I pressed the "Buy" button online, I realised that I'm really a novice in photography and may not have the time eventually to develop it as a hobby. Hence, I opted to spend <$300 to get this one to learn the basics first. Coming from a Mate 9 handphone camera, this is already a very steep learning curve and a much better camera for me
