Not advisable; the buttons will get loose.

Use a hair dryer but don't turn on the heat.

Should be based on invoice lah.. can't expect ppl to study there forever. Somemore it's international warranty. I remeber on the invoice there's a wording to keep the invoice for 3 yrs.
Thanks, mate! Can confirm that this is correct. Spoke to Yvonne and Athena from Fujitsu as they are both in charge of the NUS/NTU programme. They said to keep the invoice and remember to register your warranty online. No need to bring back to Co-op to service or produce matriculation card. FYI..

Have you gone down to the service centre? How is the result now? :s31:

Just got my T7210 tablet from matriculation. I realise whenever the tablet gets hot, the left hand side of the plastic part whereby the rubber support is attach to it(underneath) seems to expand. When i placed my hand on my tablet, it will produce some "cracking" noise and somehow cause the tablet to be "unbalance" Do anybody encounter this before? is it the design constraint? I am thinking about going down to the service center --"

Have you gone down ask the service centre to replace the FAN for you? After replacement, does it help?

I was wondering whether it's possible that I ask/demand/whatever Fujitsu to change my notebook fan. I've been down twice regarding this fan of mine, which is terribly noisy (ie, across-the-room-hearable noisy), and both times, they've failed to fix the problem. I'm now thinking that the only way to resolve this is to change the fan, so, is it possible? :D

My warranty on service (first year) is up, but parts are still covered.

Normally upgrade for BIOS is meant to tune the system, like having a sport car with an engineer with a computer link up to it to tune. :)

Maybe they want to tell you that the fan is working in a nicer way. :)

It's a S7021. I don't really want to go down and have to pay for the service if they're not gonna do anything, lol. The first time they told me that they upgraded the BIOS, the second, that they patched the fan... whatever that means, haha. Anyone know?

Yes, it is using a 1.8" HDD and the RAM is DDR2 400MHz.

can s6230 use 120GB 2.5HDD ?

Why not? Never know that there's limit to the harddisk size that the laptop can support. I intend to buy 1 for my s6230 too. When you buying? And which brand and model you are eyeing at? Care to buy together? Maybe can bargain..

If you still encounter any problem with it, why not send it down to the service center and let the engineer try. Maybe they settle the problem for you on the spot.
