Where you sent it to? Funan or Henderson, normally when I sent in a notebook for repair, the engineer alway tell me if there is to wait for parts, its around 2 weeks, and if its shortage parts that need to ship from japan(as they claim) sometime will take 2 weeks or more.

I sent in notebook on behalf for the user, normally I get it around 2 weeks time, some time within a few days, got once I waited 1 mths before the part arrive. :D

i sent it to funan.. its just that every time i enquire the waiting period gets longer and longer which is kind of irritating..

just wondering, has anyone here ever sent your laptop in to fujitsu for servicing?
2 weeks ago, i sent in my laptop for servicing due to some problems.
they told me it would take longest one week to fix..
after a week i called them and they said they were waiting for the parts, i would have to wait another week.
when i called them up, they said that they were still waiting for the parts and it would take another week more..
have any one else experienced this before?

1) What is your laptop model?

2) What is the problem you faced on your laptop that you sent for servicing?

S7110E is not that old model, isn't it?

Have to change the motherboard loh, you may just want to go down if you have time to demand for a fixed date when is the new stock coming in and when will the laptop motherboard be replaced.

Few months ago, I took my Fujitsu Tablet T4010 for service. The touch pad is not sensitive, the laptop give electric shock when connected to adaptor, and random horizonal lines on LCD(not physical damage). They replaced the internal touch pad, give me a new 3 pin with earth wire adaptor cos its LEAKING current when u use a two pin adaptor, and a new LCD screen and its brighter, all under warranty. heh :)

S7110 is quite a new model, and if not wrong they do not come with the AC port board which they call status switch board, the AC port is on the mainboard itself, from inside information, currently some of fujitsu's parts need to order from japan and wait for shipment, therefore the waiting time tend to be longer ...I sent in a notebook 3 weeks ago and I called them they told me the parts just arrive will be able to collect b4 CNY :D

:D I suppose your AC and 3 pin is already out of warranty, they still change for u ah .. haha thats good ... at least fujitsu is doing something abt their customer service ..:D

Hi, like to ask how is fujitsu tablet?

is it good to use compare to other brands?

Compare to other tablet, I feel that Fujitsu one is good, reliable and give me a sense of durability loh. Like even when you twist and twist and twist and turn the screen. Haha! :D

Does a change solve the issue? I had the same issue but didn't observe that it is electric shock. My niece 6 years old also told me electric shock,. But i didn't do anything about it? Any suggestion?

just wondering is it a quick fix to change the motherboard as workaround solution? My harddisk crash in nov 2007 and they replaced the harddisk. Thereafter they discovered that the bluetooh is giving an unknown device error. Bluetooth replaced but still not able to identify the root cause of the issue. As such, replaced the motherboard. When i took back the laptop, i discovered that the optical drive is not working, as such sent in for repair again. Then they told me that the optical drive was faulty and was replaced. But my laptop is still giving me the same connectivity issue. I asked for other solutions like the possibility of trade-in quotation but still have not revert to me for more than 2 weeks.

it's a waste of my time and resources? I have been to the Funan Fujitsu Customer Service 3 times to send for repair. A week ago, i had a fall and injured myself when i was on my way to Fujitsu centre to lodge a complaint. Is it worthwhile to make a physical trip and then get myself injured? Who knows what's next?

Well, if you think it is not worthwhile to make a trip down, then don't. Eventually the service center may not care unless you make a big fuss. If you know how to. :D

For my knowledge singapore service center only does 1st level of test and replace, 2nd level of testing and repair (which is shouldering and so on) is not done here, not like service center in India, they do the repair of Motherboard in the service center.

if you do not wish to travel down to complain try this link
http://ww3.fujitsu-pcap.com.sg/registration/contact/index.html
write in complain, and only sent in the unit when they have give you a good answer!! :D

Old fujitsu C6592

Hi all,
I have an old p3 fujitsu C6592, it's still working well (i've upgraded to XP pro).
Does anyone know how to replace the harddisk? The harddisk is OK, I just need to replace with bigger size harddisk.

Thanks in advance

flip your unit upside down, the harddish is under your floppy disk drive, floopu disk drive is just beside your battery, there is 2 screws on the floopy disk drive, unscrew them, take out your floopy drive and you will see your hard disk under it. :D
