btw wonder how do u read the model number and all? E stands for what or S stands for what? does the NP at the end of the model number means it is custom-made for NP students?

a question here. i just bought a fujitsu notebook from np and my hdd crash after i try to set up dual boot in sp, so they asked me to reformat but when i try to do the recovery, there's an error so i cant do any recovery. any idea what's the prob..?
hmm, i think the specs okay lah.Bought it at $1338 and the OS is Vista Home.
I'm currently looking at S6410 and S6510. Anyone has any comments?
My budget is around 3k and I want the best specs with good battery life and weight for my price range. What other models can I consider?
Thats is definitely not a good news to hear. Less than 1 week and the hard disk crashed?
The HDD did not crash but the software crash.
I've a Lifebook E8410 running Vista Business. Some problems:
1. Pressing Fn-F6 and Fn-F7 (reduce/increase brightness) does not work. The green brightness level indicator is displayed and changes on the screen, but the LCD brightness remains the same. No change at all. The only way I can change the brightness level is in the NVidia Control Panel.
2. I set the power options to switch off the LCD after 5 mins. The LCD goes blank, but the back light is still on and does not go off. It's wasting battery and probably reducing lifespan of the LCD.
3. The card reader does not recognise 2Gb SD cards. Card is not faulty as it can be used with digicam and can be read by other PCs and notebooks.
Anyone has ways to fix these problems?
TIA
S6510 have different versions? 3.5g and non? then how about the 1 selling under NP scheme? better to buy from normal retail or from school if warranty and specs are concerned? please advise. thanks.![]()
If you were to ask me, I will grab my set from the retail shop @ funan/sim lim.
can i know why so? there's also a big difference in pricing so why buying from school ain't ideal? i have no idea on all these specs diff and sch warranty comparison. thus need to be sure before i make a purchase.
