Hi James,
I'm quite pity your situation but I believe you can't understand their specs.
15.4 WXGA TFT = 1280 x 800
15.4 WSXGA = 1680 x 1050
Can you see the difference? If you prefer WSXGA, I believe that is past model but not current model. In terms of specs, speed are lower that what they offer you now, correct?
Therefore, they offer 2nd upgraded model is following the specs from the link u given to us. So what u r going to complian as they really upgraded to high processor and specs?
Hope it helps!

hi,

viperay is right! pixel problem is due to the technology limitation(Stated at the last 2nd paragraph in FUJITSU's site)

"It is natural for all thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCD) to show a small number of missing or discolored dots. These are commonly known as non-conforming pixels. This is a technology limitation of TFT LCD and does not represent a defect. Fujitsu warranty does not cover limitations in technology such as non-conforming pixels. "

But if the retail is willing to change the the pixel and stated that they would change for any pixel problem found, u r lucky.

Since you know its not a problem and you are lucky they changed for you then why you want to complain about pixel problem at the 1st place???? You telling us vendor is not wrong about that but you just want to complain??? Sorry for asking but I just don't see you points. :s12:

Hi sooch,

They are willing to do a one to one exchange for me. Just that the resolution is not right compared to the one stated in the site therefore i choose to refund from options given.

Since you choose to get a refund, why make such a big fuss? You only have yourself to blame for not reading the specs carefully. You also mention you wish to go to CASE. Do you know how CASE work? You have already chosen a refund, means you have resolved the matter with the vendor; what "case" do you have to go to CASE? Better do your homework before this matter backfires.

Ya.. U r right.. i am glade that they are willing to change for me on the pixel issue. But next i realised that the resolution posted in the purchase site is "1680 x 1050 pixels" in which i also have check on the Fujitsu's site , http://www.fujitsu.com/sg/services/computing/pc/notebooks/eseries/e8410/specs.html. and i received a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. When i told them about the sepecification differenent, they quick changed the specification in the site by deleting away "1680 x 1050 pixels" and told me it was their typo error. Well... i was out of patient and stated clear the reason why i choose to have a full refund due to the specification difference. Do you think i am wrong?

Hi to James ,

James can i know why are you blaming the vendors whom sold you the product which you have stated in your past comments etc and etc but when fellow forumers listed all the facts and agreements and you agree with them, doesnt it sound so contradicting from you??? So is the vendor doing something wrong to a customer(You) or you are not getting your facts right and trying to pull a fast one as i wish to purchase a Fujitsu notebook so as a consumer i want good customer service so maybe you can let me know the true facts as i do not wish to buy a product with such lousy customer service and end up i get so disappointed.

Regards
Lamer

just a quick question...

would s6410 or s6510 be able to play NFS: Most wanted... that game a bit of sentimental for me.. play so many times liao

I dun see why s6240 or s6510 cannot play NFS, contribution from www.systemrequirementslab.com, NFS need

Pentium 4 or Athlon XP
1.4 GHz
256 MB
Windows 2000/XP
32 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible 3D video card (NVIDIA GeForce2 MX+ / ATI Radeon 7500+ / Intel 915+)
Video RAM: Required - 32 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes
Minimum: DirectX 9.0c
Minimum: 3 GB

I believe that 2 model should be able to support NFS, in order to confirm, look out for anyone who has any of these model and go to www.systemrequirementslab.com to test system support, if not when you are at the retail, before you buy any, ask the reseller to run on their system to test. cheers :D hope I answer your question

IGMA X3100 supports hardware transform and lighting up to 128 programmable shader units and up to 384 MB memory .. so by right you should be able to play NFS w/o any issues .. but of course not for high end games though .. :s22:
