Your problem seems like a keyboard issue and normally it should be fixed by replacing the keyboard. If the service centre technicians are able to determine that it is just the keyboard issue, then they should not erase anything on your hard drive. In the event if they need to format your hard drive, just ask them to call you before doing so. Make sure it is written down in the service report form to avoid any dispute in future.

I've just bought a S6420. How can I verify the model no online to make sure all the parts are correct?

So far only Dell has such a service online. The only service that Fujitsu has is register your laptop's warranty online. The only way to validate what you have bought is from the receipt issued to you. There should be a breakdown on the technical specifications of the laptop's components.

Fujitsu's warranty registration site is the following - http://ww3.fujitsu-pcap.com.hk/OnlineWarranty/asp/Series.asp.

Hi my T5010 keeps having this soft beeping sound. Sounds like a moving part inside the laptop (either a fan or HDD) is creating that beep. Is it normal? Does anyone have this same problem?

Hey people , i have some problems and kindly need some professional advices.
my L1010 lappy start to have problem with the screen.
the screen kept flickering and it gets very very annoying.
Does fujitsu warranty cover the screen?
And if i went to get my laptop for servicing, will all my data and applications in the laptop be gone when i get it back? as in they reformat and stuff for me ?

Service center will not guarantee your data integrity after it returns from the servicing. Hence, you will need to do your own backup even though your issue seems like a screen issue. You wouldn't want to take the risk with your data, right?

If the screen is not faulty due to misuse or abuse, it will be covered under the warranty.

Does your laptop still have this beeping sound if you leave it running idle? Does it start beeping when you turn on your laptop or after it has booted into the Windows?

Sim Lim Square has some shops that does laptop repairs but you really have to be careful with them as they might make your problem worst.

May I know what is wrong with your laptop? Need abit of details on the fault of your laptop.

Any of those shops that deal in 2nd hand laptops will be fine. You should be able to find some from 3rd floor onwards. Not sure if it is worth repairing as you might be required to change the casing of the laptop.
