Do the new laptops still suffer from fan problems ?

The one I bought 4 years ago has the 'noisy fan' syndrome and seems to be overly hot

Fujitsu notebooks I purchased since 2007 onwards seem to be fine.

Hey guys,

Not sure if this was asked but does Fujitsu void the warranty if the default HDD was replaced? There are problems elsewhere but its just a hassle to replace the default HDD back.

help me!! :(

Hello all, a noobie here desperately require help from you guys. if you can help, kindly reply here.

to save the 50bucks, i tried to reformat my fujitsu S6510 on my own. i back-up my files, and press F12 and started the process.. but my problem now is, how do i restore those back-up files i saved on my external hard disk? and, because previously the microsoft office come along with the laptop, but now that i have finish reformatting, my microsoft office is gone!! how do i retrieve it back? i think i require some code to to activate the microsoft office, but where do i get it?

pls reply if you know how to solve the above problem, i desperately require the laptop to do my work now. thanks.

Upgradable?

Have Fujitsu S6510 loaded (t7700, 4gb, 1gb turbo) except for 120GB 5400 RPM HD.

Looking to Upgrade Drive but Back is Fuggetaboutit!

I Think the whole back panel has to be removed (7+ screws) and don't know where the heck to start- or IF the 'shock mount' will take a new 7200 RPM (Probably yes as HD can be replaced, at least by Fujitsu if necessary) or an SSD.. which would be better yet.

Anyone Try this trick or know how?

thx

well guys, i've a fujitsu laptop (s-series lifebook).

there's a fan error whenever i boot up my laptop, & requires me to press f1 to continue. i wonder if anyone knows what my problem is. thank you in advance.

another small problem is about my keyboard. sometimes the button gets hard to press. i have to press it hard. i guess it must be either the dust or the button's rubber is loose. i just poke around under the button with a thin stick till the button's like normal again. :s13:'''

and yeah...my laptop's warranty is over. 3 years passed by, but it still works well though. just these few minor problems. don't wanna get a new laptop, cuz i don't like Vista. :s13: XP is good enough.

First of all, what application did you use to backup your files? Normally the restore process can be done using the same application / software that you used to create your backup.

As for your MS Office, most likely it could be something bundled in together with your purchase or it could be just a trial version valid for 3 months. However, in whichever the case, you should have the original CD to reinstall the MS Office by yourself. You will have to check in your receipt what you have purchased and what has been given to you.

The fan error might be due to a non working CPU fan that the mainboard has detected and hence is prompting you about this error before you proceed. For this, you might have to change the CPU fan,

As for your keyboard, the specific key might not be seated properly anymore and hence becomes unresponsive at times. It will be recommended for you to change the entire keyboard. You can also try reseating the key but it will require delicate fingers as the legs holding the key is quite fragile.

In most cases, Fujitsu will not warranty for the harddisk that you have changed. But it will be good to put back the original parts to avoid any dispute in the warranty's terms and conditions.

Ah, thank you for your reply. so, do you know where i can go to replace my parts & how much will it cost? my warranty is over, so i can't go to the service centre anymore... right? :s11::s11:
