hihi. My laptop model is Lifebook Series S6510. Bought in march 08 when i'm enrolled to poly, sort of died since last night. when at the login page, after i swipe my fingerprint the screen says:

"User Profile service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."

I've tried to restart, shutdown and on again but it's still the same. I've removed my password and the same thing is still there.

Is there anyway to save it? my projects are inside and i've to hand in tml!!!

should i bring it down to Funan tml or should i bring it back to my poly's helpdesk on monday?

Please help me!!!!

Try to boot into Safe Mode by press f5 after POST check. see if you could log in if you could, backup data first then reformat. another is to do regedit which is quite complicated.

I bought the LH700 from IT show March 2010 went home got Auto shutdown then subsequently i did a manual shutdown but it had problems shutting down. I went to the Henderson service center yesterday.

They gave me a 1 to 1 exchange when i got it i check the new set had a defect on the LCD panel great they had to change again while i was there. The next one i got the keyboard had some cosmetic defect which i was told all the units are the same and i had to live with it.

In all i had to change 2 times. took a taxi down spend $36 on the screen protector all but wasted. This model is made in China and totally no Quality Check at all.Really REGRET it totally! I blame myself for buying a made in China Fujitsu model.

Hi,

I recently bought a fujitsu lifebook from the IT 2010 show. However there are some problems regarding the power socket as it is rather loose and there is a high pitch sound coming from the top left hand corner of the lap top.

The laptop i bought was SH560. Apparently the parts are made in Japan, which goes to show they SHOULD have some basis for quality.

I am wondering if anyone who bought the same lap top, is experiencing the same problems?

In the first place, the power socket SHOULD NOT be loose. But apparently ALL their new models are designed that way . I believe it WILL definitely affect the batteries life span, right?

When you guys bought the lap top did you know that their power socket was loose in the first place? I wasn't informed by the company that the socket was designed that way as i my old trusty fujitsu lappy doesn't have such problems.

If anyone encounter the same problens pls write here. Tks. I am contemplating getting a refund or something.

OMG that's terrible! That poor girl.I did tried to reason with the bloody service center guy about the problem then they keep telling me lame excuses that software prob will lead to that sound. Like HELLO~ which BRAND NEWlap top that was used barely for 3 days should have those kind of high pitch intermittent sound???

Jason, why not get a refund instead? Making you run twice to the service for repairs is really a big no-no. You should fight for your rights!

I mean sensible people would want to buy a sturdy lap top that will at the minimum last them for 3 years right? But by the looks of it, their integrity of their brand is GREATLY compromised already. I think next time people really have to think twice or thrice before considering fujitsu. Spent 6 hrs at the IT show to get such a sucky lap top. Utterly disappointed!

Ya I agree with poster below. Fujitsu is when you wanna invest the money to get good laptops with good processors.

My laptop also from S Series, costed me 1.7k (though that's cheapest from the S Series I think), but trusty! Drop like umpteen times but still working. X)

My friends who got Fujitsu, also got good service when they bring their laptop for maintenence. So I think it depends...?

If want cheap de, get ACER and the many labels they try to use to fake the market. :/ But be prepared to get a stroke though, if Fujitsu can frustrate you like that already. XD

Hi there,

Perhaps you might wana try disabling the Hardware Power Management feature found inside the Bios settings for the high pitch interference which u mention. This was what i did with my Fujitsu laptop purchase back in end 08.

Step by step below,

1) Power on and press F2 upon seeing the Fujitsu screen
2) In Bios, go over to Advanced -> Miscellaneous Configurations -> Hardware Power Management -> Disabled(Would be Enabled by default)

Try it and see if it helps.

Cheers,

Hi adelinlsh,

Possible cause & solution for your issue below,

Cause:
1) This issue may occur if the user profile was manually deleted by using the command prompt or Windows Explorer by user or by some program. A profile that is manually deleted does not remove the security identifier (SID) from the user profile list in the registry. Since the SID is still present, Vista will still try to load the profile by using the ProfileImagePath that points to a nonexistent path. Therefore, the profile cannot be loaded. (Which means user account deleted)

2) This can also be a issue with the user profile entering into a backup state.

3) User manually renamed the C:\User\(UserName) folder.

4) Virus/Spyware/3rd Party Program like CCleaner which can edit the registry keys.

How to solve:
You have 2 option to solve this issue

Method 1) Using restore window

Method 2) Find the backup user profile in registry and change the backup profile.

1) Press 'F8' at DOS mode, then choise 'safe mode'. (Login user window with administrator or the original account-the password is still working in safe mode )

2) Click the Start Button and in the white "Start Search" space at the
bottom type "regedit"

3) In registry editor go-to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Windows NT
CurrentVersion
ProfileList

You should now have a list of folders all starting with S-1-5- and then a
number.

Look at the end of each name and you should see one with .bak at the end of it, and there will be another one above it with exactly the same name but without .bak at the end. The one that's got .bak at the end is your old User Profile that Vista has now made into a backup, and the one without .bak after it is the new empty User Profile that Vista has created. Just to check that this is the case, have a look in the right-hand pane for each of the 2 folders and look at what's written after "ProfileImagePath". For the folder with .bak at the end it should say C:\Users\ and then your usual User Account name, and for the one that doesn't have .bak at the end it should say C:\Users\TEMP.

Example:
S-1-5-21-2176023682-2525803994-372153519-1005 (This is the C:\User\TEMP)
S-1-5-21-2176023682-2525803994-372153519-1005.bak (This is the original user profile that had been deleted, now it is a Backup file and it contain the user name such as: C:\User\Admin)

4) Right click the folder with .bak and then 'rename' change the 1st to '.bak' and the 2nd to without '.bak'

5) Once you have done the change 'Restart' your computer.

Hi, I need some help here.
I have a S6220 Lifebook, the DVD optical drive is spoilt and the boot up menu only indicates CD-ROM, Floppy Disk and Hard Disk.
There isn't a USB boot option.
How do I reformat and add in a fresh installation of Win XP in this case?
Thanks in advance.

Hi koodsim,

The older model doesnt support USB HDD or USB Memory boot options. However, if you are able to lay ur hands on a USB optical drive, you will beable to perform the formatting using just that.

It's simple. Remove ur onboard drive(Using the quick release latch), plug in the USB Optical Drive and power it up & press F12 for the Boot Menu, insert your recovery disc into the USB drive and then select boot from CD/DVD drive from the Boot Menu list.

It should load you up into the recovery disc.

Cheers,

Hi Gixxerfied,

I think that service guy told me about those things too. Wasn't sure what it was but hope it works. I've already sent it to the center for diagnosis.Hopefully they will do something about it.

Thanks for your advice. :)
