Generally deleting data from CWM is not required unless explicitly stated in the instructions. You can just flash new versions on top.

Just tried GummyNex, like it so far but likely to go back to AOKP :)

Just got my nexus today. Tried flashing AOKP Milestone 4, but it remained at the boot screen without going any further (you know, the gay looking unicorn). Wrong version?

And after rooting, the apps I downloaded on the play website will not be synced to my phone.

1) AOKP Milestone 4 Maguro
2) Have you wipe/factory reset before flashing in the rom?
3) And did u install GApps package immediately after the flashing of ROM is complete?

1) Yea, i downloaded Milestone 4 Maguro. After flashing,it remained at the pink unicorn bootscreen till forever. Do I need to flash anything first?

2)Yea I did. I'll try it again tonight.
3)Problem solved. Perhaps it needed some time.

How long is the booting? If it is the first boot since flashing, might take sometime

Connect your phone to your computer and run adb logcat during your first boot to reassure yourself that something isn't going terribly wrong. Or, if something *is* going terribly wrong, at least you'll know what is. ;)

Hi Guys, can I know how are your GNex battery life? My on screen time can only last about 3 hrs as compare to 2 1/2 hrs on stock 4.0.2. Currently on AOKP B23, Franco Kernel 17.2, only have google contacts sync and whatsapp.

Anyone using AOKP M4 with franco M1?

With this combination, I seem to have alot of bugs compared to my previous AOKP B23 with franco 17.2.

My first overnight battery drain was 20% over 7hrs. Then my setting--> battery---> Android OS option went haywire showing CPU total with 254d 14hr ++. Then the phone seems to lag most of the time in which I have never experience before in AOKP B23 with Franco 17.2. (Forgot to take screenshot of the CPU usage as I panic and went to reflash)

Then now using AOKP M4 with stock kernel, manage to get more than 3 hrs with a heavier usage than normal. This seems to be supported by some online forum comments that stock kernel is good enough. Guys, what are your experience with AOKP M4 with Franco 17.2?

Found the solution. Beginner's error: Forgot to wipe data before flashing.

I used Titanium backup to restore my apps and settings before I flashed. But after restoring, certain functions like phone and contacts are forced to closed.

I found my way around this by starting a fresh. But anyone has any advice for this to facilitate future flashing of roms?

Use titanium to backup/restore only user apps. Moving system data across roms is usually asking for trouble.

i came from stock 4.0.2 to aokp ms4 and francokernel ms 1..
anyone experience the UI became very laggy?
the stock ROMs and kernel seems smoother..

and anyone knows how to enable/disable options in the kernel? or the features is always on...

For me infact, it's faster than stock rom + kernel..

Am on AOKP Milestone 4 and Franco Kernel Milestone 1 since they were out..

Anyway, are u still using stock launcher or nova launcher?

hello anyone tried undervolting before??

a lot of people did. whether or not it works or not is another story. the lcd is 1 of the biggest sucker of batt power so what u save by UV is very little compared to what is used by the lcd and other radio components.
