Firstly, check Settings>Storage>Menu Button>USB Computer Connection and ensure MTP is check..If check then just replug/restart ur phone then plug in to pc again.

i have selected an app that requires wifi connection to download, if there is a way to terminate it as I do not have wifi.

is there a workaround method to download on 3G data on default ?

The menu would be his paid app name Franco Kernel Updater from Play store..

With that den u can enable usb fast charge but with that enabled, ur device wont be connected in MTP mode..

so the franco kernel only works if you buy his app from the store?

The kernel doesn't require the app.

No workaround from what I know, so have to click the ok button on the confirmation screen to continue using 3G to download.

I could not find the wipe cache in CWM, is it the wipe cche partition? I need to confirm it as I do not dare to play around with the partition in case I screw up something.

updated to yakju 4.0.4 on xxla2 primela3
is it the baseband xxla2 the cause for the connection getting cut off for 1 or 2 min..
my friend told me once that when a phone looses it's connection it will try to search for a new service provider and it will suck alot of battery...
after upgrading to 4.0.4 and upgrading the baseband and bootloader, my battery life have been poor... anybody experiencing same problem?

EDIT: also realize that the battery voltage have been higher den usual no idea why... increase by 0.2v ...irrc my voltage used to be around 3.7v, now its at 3.9v

not sure whether to root or not...
if i dun intend to install custom rom, is it still worth while to root?

prev on my Xperia Arc, i root, install custom rom, when OTA release, i cant update, maybe i cant find the right link or i dun hav too much time to find e right rom.
hence, this time round, i dun intend to flash custom rom.

so still gd to root?

before using it, do i need to install CWM from the Play Store?
It's ROM Manager right?

For the Contact List, I always manually merge it with Google Contact and FaceBook Contact. Anyway to save this information so I dun need to merge it when i change phone or flash custom ROM?

1) Dont have to, Gnex Toolkit has an option to unlock, root and install cwm on ur phone
2) So far my fren tried with titanium, doesnt work..

Which is why advisable to just unlock and root first after getting the phone, nv know when u need it also..
