I strongly believe is the September firmware that is causing the problem.
During the early days of Note 5 launch, those of us who complained of sleeping beauty actually updated the firmware immediately after switching on Note 5 for the first time. There was a prompt to download the latest firmware via OTA. Not long after that, sleeping beauty problem starts to escalate.
During the very early days of sleeping beauty discussion, it was mentioned that those who did not update the firmware, that is, using the firmware that was pre-installed in the Note 5, did not have sleeping beauty problem.
