saw this for firmware. so can we flash using other countries firmware?

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N920I/

Thanks for the link.

Maybe someone can try flashing to the firmware released in August.

I suspect the September-released firmwares are the ones giving the sleeping beauty problem... I recall sleeping beauty problem only occurs once the firmware is updated to the September versions, as in the earlier discussion, those who did not update firmware did not complain of sleeping beauty... I may be wrong, though...

takes quite awhile to download it though. only paid users get to download it fast.

i chatted with samsung service center singapore support, apparently they dont even know this issue existed. That is really funny. I have seen people posting this issue on their facebook and they replied and still the chat CSO mentioned they received no reports.

and they ask me to send my phone down to a service center to take a look. seems like wasting my time.

If nothing is official, they may deny it. Once we manage to make it to the press or bring to CASE, their management will be aware of the problem, and likely to spend time and effect to look into the issue.

SMS already declares they are looking into the issue... give them a while to rectify than to release to you another unbaked firmware..

one of my colleague (using 64)gb told me that she was using it for a week without problem, till she went to upgrade the software. Nowadays, a day a few times.

Maybe it's due to the sept firmware.

Depends on how long the phone has been stored at the dealer place. That is not 100% accurate. Typically telco set is moving faster than authorised dealers..

I have a feeling that it was caused by the firmware upgrade too. Hopefully it is fixed in the next update.

In the meantime, I find that disabling apps for S Voice and Voice wake-up, and changing the lock screen setting to not display any notifications seems to remove or reduce the issue.

I strongly believe is the September firmware that is causing the problem.

During the early days of Note 5 launch, those of us who complained of sleeping beauty actually updated the firmware immediately after switching on Note 5 for the first time. There was a prompt to download the latest firmware via OTA. Not long after that, sleeping beauty problem starts to escalate.

During the very early days of sleeping beauty discussion, it was mentioned that those who did not update the firmware, that is, using the firmware that was pre-installed in the Note 5, did not have sleeping beauty problem.

If you have been following the Note 5 threads from the beginning till now, hope you can remember we had this firmware discussion right at the start...
