Hope I don't jinx it but so far... NO SLEEPING BEAUTY since firmware upgrade on 20 October. In fact, my Note 5 became even FASTER...

Let's hope it stays this way... fingers crossed...

:D:D:D:D

EDIT: I did not factory reset/clear cache/etc, did not disable camera quick launch, just flash the J4 firmware and restart the phone. So far so good.

Does this firmware update wipe out all settings and memory such as songs/photos/whatsapp chat history?

I really hope it turns out well for u but I definitely did get sleeping beauty even after the latest update

It happened when I quick launched my camera straight from idling mode. Meaning screen is black and I double yap home to quick launch my cam . Bahhhhhhhh
Oh, someone said should off the quick launch mode? I dunno, maybe can? Haha

Have been using the Note 5 for 5 days. So far so good. The only one instance when I encountered a problem was when I was charging my phone and attempted to unlock my phone. The touchscreen was buggy and doesn't respond well. I suspect that it could be that particular power socket's problem, probably dirty power. Happened to me when I was in Thailand as well and the next moment my HTC charger just kinda blew up with blackened area around the power socket.

Now on J4 firmware with camera quick launch disabled and package disabler pro disabling bloatware.

Mine is a 32GB Titanium Silver from JP Singtel.

Anyway my quick launch for camera has been disabled since first day I bought the phone. I doubt it's the quick launch causing the issue. Still I disable it to prevent accidental launch of camera app.

So far haven't experience Sleeping Beauty for new firmware.
