I bought my Garmin 1350 at $179 from this seller: bestbuyelec.com. It came with the Singapore Traffic Receiver for live traffic information and avoidance. It works well and I have no regrets buying this GPS. It is by far the cheapest in Singapore. The other retailers are selling the traffic receiver alone for $89.

Did you manage to get FOC the US map, as well as 2 other maps (e.g. Aus/NZ and Europe) as stated on the website?

@ Chris:
So were you able to register it on the official website and download car icons and other customisable items from it?

Hi, I'm interested to know more about the Garmin nuvi 1350. I wonder if the users of this device could highlight some pros and cons about it?

There are so many GPS brands and models now to choose from. I am thinking of getting the Garmin 1350 from bestbuyelec.com. There are many good reviews on this company online and it is the cheapest I could find. It costs $179 with a free traffic receiver that supposedly costs $89 if purchased elsewhere. It is "refurb" but the forum review state that there is no difference. What do you guys think?

No difference....

Hi, i am getting a gps for the first time as well. was wondering if 1350 or 1490 is better? anyone can recommend? i am thinking of buying it straight from bestbuyelec.com since it is cheaper compared to outside. refurbished i think should be ok. any idea how much 1350 cost outside?

I got a Nuvi 1490, was a refurbished US set off ebay. Great condition for a larger screen unit, and runs off local maps very well. I even used it for a recent Europe trip with no hitch.

I got the 1490 because of the larger screen. It has some other additional features over 1350 but I do not use them anyhow.

If road name doesn't work, use postcode. Postcode works better. :)
