The PAP run the country by raising taxes & importing FTs. What else have they done?

Who dunno how to do ? Do this in Simcity, and all your citizens migrate .. do this in SIngapore = MYBF

Lastly they put Tan See Leng a doctor into MOM
They put OYK a useless tiktok mininster into MOH

They can't even do basic HR

Exactly... You are just good in sim city...only.

To me there is no harm to continue growing the reserves.

The 6bn helps to replenish the drawdown during covid so it is gd.

Our reserves, which has been estimated at over a trillion US dollars, a figure Gupta (DBS CEO) referenced in his remarks.

Friend do you know how much reserves we touched ? 40 billion only. Do you know COE alone is 4 billion per year? EVEN IF WE had 0 tax , in 10 years COE alone will make up the short fall.

But we have alot of taxes . So we have more than make up for it in no time.

The SG budget is > 100bn a year. Taxes alone, including COE and GST, are barely enough to cover the 100bn.

The NIRC is abt 20bn a year, so the 6bn is merely reducing the drawdown of the returns from the reserves.

Most useless taskforce in the history of mankind

1st task : Monitor
2nd task : Appear Confident & say confident things
3rd task : Wait for Trump to remove Tariffs or Leave the whitehouse
4th task : Claim credit or Shift blame depending on the outcome
5th task: Blame it all on opposition when everything doesn't works out well...

I remember (please correct me if I remember wrongly due to my old age) during the first few years of the implementation of Medishield Life, it was asked in Parliament, "in total how much premium was collect over the years and how much was claimed". The answer given was so far the total premium collected was $3 billion and the claim was $100 million. When asked why such a large disparity (instead of lowering the premium), they replied they need to set aside a higher amount of $ for future raise in medical cost. Isn't the government yearly expenditure include healthcare cost? Or all healthcare cost have to be covered by our premium?

Since Medishield Life is complusory for all Singaporean, it should be operated as a co-operative and not for profits. As it is automatically provide coverage from the moment of birth, there is no agent fee incur. The yearly total premium collected, the administative cost and the total claim should be published to let sinkies known. Suka suka increase the premium without providing the breakdown figure can only arise mistrust with both CPFB who administers the scheme and MOH.

No.
But having PAP retain supermajority will make Trump slap more tariffs on us thanks to proven exploits when PAP has supermajority.

Increased risk after having covid vaccine jabs. Therefore, increased premiums.

SG's healthcare is getting increasingly unsustainable, costs just keep rising but hospital beds/waiting time issue getting worse.

Nurses and the lower/middle levels getting lowly paid relatively to the amount of work they done,
whereas the corporate shareholders and the upper management, etc. getting highly paid.

The insurance companies who provide insurance services to the people are also making a killing, every year insurance premiums just keep increasing.

As Paul Tambyah mentioned, we are really heading in US's direction in terms of healthcare now. If nothing changes, we will repeat their mistakes.
