In my opinion, LW might suggest to voters that if the PAP fails to secure a "strong mandate," multinational corporations could relocate their production from Singapore, leading to job losses for locals. A reduced mandate may impact Singapore's global standing, potentially resulting in diminished respect from other nations.

Yeah, I think the real concern for WP now is whether they can hold on to Aljunied and Sengkang. Given, part of Aljunied has been carved out, which might affect their support base. As for Sengkang, it's going to depend on whether voters feel the WP team has done enough in their first term to deserve a second chance. Their performance will definitely be under heavy scrutiny this time.

In politics seats don't flip one sided nor drastically. They flip in stages/steps.

Do not think PH in Malaysia won big suddenly. They hv being increasing vote share for the last 2 decades.

Same in other countries like US/UK where major flips happened but wins are always borderline.

PAP has many safe harbors and those are sure wins. A major vote share drop is already a huge win for the opposition.
