feels very defensive play this time round. no aggressive policies or attractive dangling carrots, just full protect and defend and mudslinging
TBH I am quite disappointed with LW thus far.
Ah gong already said the leader of SG needs iron in him.
LW is doing the opposite going tolong tolong, please vote my bff back into office or my job very difficult. 😵

Pap speech like no substance leh. Only talk about covered walkway and lift for overhead bridges.

The standard argument they have for opposition's plans was, "who is going to foot the bill".

Pap this time like no have plans nor backup plans.

PAP almost never talk about their manifesto?
their focus is on the opposition, not on what they can bring to the table

Covered walkways as mentioned by TCB, is under the URA. nothing to bloody do with the political parties. its the years old scam promise.

feels like they locked in the "who gonna foot the bill" narrative, hence they are not able to push any aggressive proposal as it will backfire immediately.

well, seems like public sentiments change so they just come out with new narrative to be on defensive alert lor. but dunno why so much effort when they will likely still win most ward.

Pork barrel politics dont work liao

PAP should focus on addressing 3 key areas like Cost of Living (pls say other measures besides one-off CDC vouchers), HDB housing prices runaway and too many FTs

i am no expert but i think we want assurances that PAP is working on them and what are the concrete steps (not motherhood statements) to address them

regarding FTs, once you say the word FT, then you kena accused xenophobic, is no way to address this issue. it suppression. We all want qualified FTs but need to calibrate the inflow and make sure FTs dont overrun SGreans

One more group you have not mentioned.
5 years later, they will become the majority and their voices will definitely surface.

I suspect next time they will open own party

Already happened in bukit batok SMC in GE2015

At the time his votes were very low, you can laugh at him. Once they have the numbers you can't laugh, they will have their own agendas.

In politics seats don't flip one sided nor drastically. They flip in stages/steps.

Do not think PH in Malaysia won big suddenly. They hv being increasing vote share for the last 2 decades.

Same in other countries like US/UK where major flips happened but wins are always borderline.

PAP has many safe harbors and those are sure wins. A major vote share drop is already a huge win for the opposition.
LW's defence line is 60%

Seems so. I get the feel that Punggol (a newer township) is not going well. They will lose big(1 DPM, 2potential minsters) if it happens.
