While I can understand casino need to follow to cease operation, but why hotel needs to stop operations? Can’t let the people stay there meh, at least give the, the flexibility to relax and enjoy the cool weather. Did all hotel across Malaysia need to cease operations?
I think the order is all non essential businesses must shut down. People must stay indoors (home) except to buy essentials. No home find somewhere.

Those frm malaysia who stayed behind to wrk get to stay in hotel n cash incentive

It's not an incentive. It's for the company to help with the cost of providing accommodation to the workers.

Quite true! But the cash incentive at S$50 per day is only payable to those in essential service. This incentive payment is very generous by SGgovt.

There was no mention in the report that it is just for those in essential service.

Our gov is generous indeed helping out the companies. But then again, if they don't, everyone is gona suffer. If we lose our msia workforce, i guess most parts of SG will collapse.

And that is the vision our grandmaster old Lee has always wanted, ass tight interdependence. Cant live without the other.

Our foreign mini puts it superbly in his recent interview. Damn eloquent.

It is not an incentive. It is to defray the costs. I think companies should be made to claim for these costs by showing accommodation bills.
