Genting FAQ - Part 3

Oh yes, do you all usually stay alone in hotel? So far I hope no one experienced anything spooky else do share! Cos I’m thinking of staying alone but can’t bring myself to do it.. lol

It is usually the corner rooms that you experience events. It is not First World but Genting Grand that the events are most fierce. Not heard any stories of people seeing anything. But hear stories of TV turning on and off, sounds, hangers in the cupboard rattling.

The corner Genting Grand Permier room got king size bed and is larger than the non corner. My group will however usually reject if offered and go for the regular Premier rooms.

Ask for room near lift if you are not sensitive to sound. At least no need to walk along quiet corridors.

I bring along those 沉香 Agarwood fragrance sticks. Supposed to have spiritual protection plus it helps to sleep and relax. Not so much of whether it works or not. But having it somehow is re-assuring. It also helps to rid the smoking smell should there be any.

First night might be a bit scary but after that is fine.

So far ok for me.
Got once I check in at FWH, the phone ring and I pick up, no sound. After put down a while ring again. Same pick up no sound. Repeat a few time.
Call housekeeping and they bring another phone also same condition.
Then just unplug the telephone line.

Which floor is that?

Happened to one of our group on a trip some time back. I don't remember the exact floor.
I remember the person was quite proud about it and didn't want to change room.
Nothing bad actually happened on that trip. The incident however stuck to memory and I notice now everyone will auto reject corner room.

As what I described. TV turn on and off. Hangers in the cupboard shaking for no reason.
Those are the ones I remember clearly. There was a lot of discussion on whether there is a rational explanation or room really got ghost.

For me go up there is to relax and enjoy. Not play ghostbuster so I don't take chance and avoid the corner rooms at Genting Grand. For those who have stayed before, they are really very much larger than the regular Premier rooms.

Its more confusing if Resort Hotel remained as Resort Hotel.
I can understand "Resort Hotel" keyword can be a very difficult search, there are many resorts many hotels in the world. probably cannot copyright its name.

Not sure about it, because i always put 300rm to play slots. I guess need to get into the bonus feature to get 15 balls to get grand.

The odd is lower for the live machine blackjack at the lifestyle casino near to the live dealer peeling the baccarat.

no surrender and cant double down at certain A-5 A-6 or any points

Think most, of not all floors that the GG corner room. Stayed at one during my last trip. Personally the "fear factor" is that the room is isolated stand-alone room beside the emergency staircase that is always empty.

And yes the room seemed bigger than the standard GG Premier Rooms.

No notable special events to share though. Hahaha.

Rebrand Highlands Hotel to Highlands Member or Highlands Gold Hotel (since HH only Gold and above can book).

Maybe because 'Resort World' is their main identity. (RWG, RWS etc). The original Resort Hotel is not atas enough to carry that name.

Personally, I will not stay at Resort Hotel if given a choice.
The deco quite orbit, as if in the 70s or 80s.

It was different 4-5 years ago, where the Transtar buses will stopped/boarded at B5 (near their office), just for convenience as you could buy stuff at Store 168 and eat at the canteen@B5 while waiting to board the buses.
