Getgo car accident

hi all, got into a bad accident while on a getgo car and a taxi driver crashed onto the back of my car. Can I ask whats the max damage payment if i never opt into CDW? I saw the website the excess fee is 10.8k, is that the max i have to pay? and will i get my license revoked? Thanks in advance

License won't revoke for RTAs unless you were speeding, but if you were, the taxi is too...

I think he mean gst. For car insurance is split into 2 categories. One is 3rd party claim, one is OD aka own dmg. So the 10.8k is 5.4k each. 3rd party is the other car claim u for his dmg. OD is the cost of fixing ur car. So if it is 100% that guy fault, all cost pay by him. If 100% ur fault, u pay max 10.8k, covering his car dmg and ur car dmg. All these are done after investigation and sometimes waiting for the result may took mths.

But this type of ride sharing might be diff. They might ask u to pay upfront first before the result. So its better for u to consult getgo.

Discretionary is the one without red arrow right? In such cases i would say its a 50/50 case. U might win or lose or 50/50, depends on ur video and the taxi video. If u lose totally, u have to pay the max 10.8k.

Yes if it is not ur fault, all will claim the other party. So u get ur money back or no need to pay anything.

Just prepare at most 10.8k gone. Don't need to think too much. You won't win 100% of this case since you are partially at fault for not checking clear and safe before doing the right turn.

You get back or not depends on the mercy of Getgo and it's TnCs.

still remember the clementi accident. Similar situation. Taxi driver have to bear 65% of blame.

Sounds like his fault too. Turning when knowing well that theres a car coming from the front. That's why I wish they will remove theses discretionary right turn and put a green arrow.
