Easiest Way to Change Galaxy Nexus from Yakjuxw (Non-Yakju) to Android 4.0.4 Yakju/Takju
You need to flash Takju/Yakju, local set is Yakjuxw
Hi, I'm not sure if this has been posted here but i stumbled on this thread on XDA-developers on how to switch from Yakjuxw to Yakju to get OTA 4.1.1. Best part is, no rooting, bootloader required! Much simpler than using PDANet+NexusToolKit method. It worked for my local nexus handset.
No rooting n bootloader? That means will not void warranty. tks.
People here so easy to smoke..No rooting n bootloader? That means will not void warranty. tks.

dear nexus users,
im looking to buy a nexus and done a fair share of research. but i would like to seek the local opinions of the phone before committing. any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Yup. I followed the steps described in that thread. No problems whatsoever. But there were some weird error regarding incompatible Bluetooth driver installation. But after I restart Windows and start up the firmware program, everything went well after that. Computer was able to detect my nexus and I could proceed with the flashing.

i'm not really an android fan that needs the latest software..
i just want a phone that have good battery life, smaller form factor and good looking.
looks like i have to think very hard about it again...
thanks for your advice tho, appreciate it.
