I think the Japanese have the most bling for their Nexus.

And some guy hacked the Evangelion theme into his Nexus.

Hi, I am currently using a HTC desire with cm 7.2. I am very keen on getting the galaxy nexus due to the jelly bean update. Do we Singapore users get the full Google now experience and turn by turn voice navigation this time? so far I am still satisfied with my desire after using s2ext with cm, just very impresses with the reviews of jelly bean. Thanks in advance for sharing your views.

Was using the HTC Desire with CM7 too before my upgrade to the nexus about 5 months back; I was pretty blown away by the improvements back in Ice Cream Sandwich when I first got it, as well as the hardware itself. From ICS to JB, not so much. General improvements, yes, but not blown away. If you're into custom roms, it's my belief that nexus is a better option than the s3 due to developer support, even though it loses in hardware specifications.

If you're not planning to root, take note that JB wouldn't come too fast either. A friend just received their ICS 4.04 OTA update about 2-3 weeks back, I'd imagine quite a delay for JB if root/flashing isn't involved.

Hi, thanks for your reply. so even if we Singapore users have the galaxy nexus, we will not be getting the jelly bean update now? how's the voice recognition working for us? Is it able to recognise our local area names for the custom roms? look like have to fall back on the cm team again.

yes, I did see the thread on flashing the official google rom without rooting, but didn't explore it as I was already rooted and on custom. I believe it is this thread. [HOW-TO] [GSM & CDMA] Convert to latest yakju/takju/mysid (incl JB) / Return to stock - xda-developers
I was referring to the fact that you will not get the JB update straightaway if you refuse to do anything to the phone out of the box.

As for voice recognition, I found it more accurate than apple's siri, but the hit rate varies depending on how articulate your speaking voice is. as for local names, I don't think it works (not too sure on it though). Tried a few times saying 'tampines', it returned 'anthony' once, and 'companies' twice.

Anyone here experiencing the following with their JB build?

1. Instant Upload not uploading all my images, only some (wifi upload on in G+, also on in Google Accounts)

2. Google Music no longer shuffles even though you set it to do so

3. Gallery App seems to arrange photos in the wrong order (especially if you have a lot of images)

Anyone else noted any other bugs?

Thx, the instant upload I was referring to is actually the one tied to our Google+ and Picasa account.

I noticed now on JB, I have set my phone to auto upload in wifi only, which meant in the past, I would take photos all day, and once home or within a wifi signal, the phone will auto upload all those images.

Now, it no longer does that...instead, it only uploads the image I'm taking while I'm in a wifi zone. =(
