I updated to JSS15J, then rooted. no problem updating, no screen issues as well.

I try to update thru OTA but recovery show me an Android with a red triangle "Error!"

Maybe I'll stay with JWR66V for few days before start to root my N7

After purchasing my N7 from playstore, my account somehow got converted to US one lol.

Light Flow is the only LED app I know that works well with Nexus products. I'm not sure if you have installed other LED apps that conflicts with Light Flow. If I were you, I would either uninstall all other LED apps or do a factory reset.

Alternatively, you are free to try my Light Flow settings and check if the LED blinks when charging.
1. Download https://app.box.com/files/0/f/0/1/f_9819841986
2. Copy file to lightflow folder on Nexus 7.
3. On Nexus 7, go to Light Flow > Tools > Restore settings > select 2013-08-18
4. Plug in the charger
5. Turn off screen and LED will blink

Anyone facing issues with the GPS not working?

Tried and test along side with my S4. S4 is able to work while the nexus 7 keep using the mobile towers for locations. Not accurate and stucked, GPS no signal at all.

Was hoping to use this as a GPS, sadded. Sygic one second got signal, another second dead, next minute got signal, then dead again. LOL.

Let me guess. You bought yours from Best Buy and the wallpaper on the box cover is missing from your device?

If I am not wrong, the JSS15J OTA update will never go through. You can either do a full image flash or try the solution from xda forum.

Mine went through leh.. Maybe the newer sets were fixed.

Rooting will not format your device. However, if you want to install custom roms, you are required to format it to ensure stability.

Rooting grants Superuser access, which in turn allows you to install and use certain apps that requires them.

Titanium Backup, an example, is an backup app that needs SU, which can backup apps and their data.

this is terrible. I have the same issue, nexus 4 works but not nexus 7.

bro, i think mine somehow resolve, for now. this morning i drove to school and back home. using Sygic. GPS works fine.

I uninstall the google frameworks to factory default. and uninstall google maps to factory default. Now works.

Hope it stays working. Still waiting for google to fix. Google very slow one.

Last time SMS wrongly named and send also took like 2years to fix? They never fix it. They replaced with new firmware which doesn't work on that device. Joke.
