Just found out my Nexus 7 2013 bought from Amazon is US local warranty and not Global warranty.
ASUS@SG was nice enough to help me check.
So you are saying it's not accepted for free servicing at local Asus SVC?

No wonder some ppl selling off their Nexus 7 2013 cheaply after only less 2 weeks of purchase. :s8: I guess they discover that too after checking with local Asus service centre about their problem set, and therefore dump it off to unsuspecting buyers... :s22:

Anyone knows how to differentiate UK n US model?

Other than the charging adaptor which comes in the round two-pin instead of the flat two-pin, I don't think there is other obvious ways to tell from the info u can get from the tablet itself.

The warranty booklet that comes with Nexus 7 2013 clearly indicates that it is covered by Asus International warranty. I just checked facebook and they are writing the same BS there. I have a feeling the local Asus correspondence is trying to pull a taichi stunt on us.

Hmm....I thgt it's supposed to be International warranty for electronics. Why not send an email to Asus US and check. If pple go US tour, does that means we can't buy electronics product???

More like Asus SG trying to pull a fast one since their local set retailing at cut throat prices compare to Amazon! Probably trying to stop pple from buying thru Amazon! :s8:

If the local Asus say they will not service for free the Nexus 7 bought from the US means they would probably not do it since they would be the party you go to for Singapore servicing.

I did ask a couple of times for someone to scan the warranty card for the US purchased Nexus 7 here but it seems that no one is willing to do that.

Asus SG itself say it is US Local warranty and Amazon also say it is North American Warranty. It could be a regional thing to bring down the cost.

I do not own one and have not seen the warranty card. I know on Asus website, it did mentioned to consult the warranty card to see whether you have international warranty so it probably means not all items have that.

Maybe you should show Asus SG this website and tell them not to play Tai-chi! :D

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Warranty Policy Nexus 7 (2013)

Did you read what is said that ?

Step 1 : Check your warranty card content to confirm the warranty term and warranty period.

ASUS international service is only applicable to countries that have been authorized by ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC, The service we provide is based on Limited Warranty Service. ( In America area only supports for USA, Canada and Mexico ; Central and South America countries don’t support international service)

This seems to mean that Central and South America don't support international warranty.

The description from amazon says that it comes with 1 yr North America warranty. USA, Canada and Mexico are all under North America. So, doesn't this mean that it qualify for International warranty?

International warranty ?

Hi Guys

I will suggest that we can go to the ASUS US FaceBook (if they have this acct) and check & ask for this "International Warranty" issue

Also not sure if ASUS has official Twitter account, be it ASUS SG or ASUS US / International / Taiwan , etc...

Just go ask ...

just in case ASUS SG Facebook continue to "act blur"

Well, it does clearly states you are entitled to International Asus Warranty service in Asia during the warranty period! :s8:

I'll suggest you drop ASUS Taiwan (HQ) an email and sort things out. Asus SG probably trying to act blur! :s8:
