the kitkat update looks like auto downloaded when i was asleep last night. when i woke up this morning, notification telling me the update is ready and can just be installed. my nexus7 is pure not modded, not even rooted. the update went ok and now its on kitkat.

my LTE 32gb has updated yesterday... doubt its location based?? im at wdls anyway

It's by phase/batch... not location

Even if it's by location it's by region (Sg, indo etc.), not AMK woodlands sengkang !

Got mine a few days back, 32gb wifi. Anyway, the update is just by batches la...if you haven't gotten it it only means you suay, but should get it within the next 1-2 weeks haha

To be honest though, there's no drastic change other than the overall speed being slightly faster. This is before ART as there are still some apps that have problems with ART so i'm waiting a few more weeks before changing the runtime

Decided not to wait for the OTA anymore and sideloaded the update for my 32gb LTE US model. Enjoying Android 4.4 right now!

just realise that official kitkat on nexus 7 doesn't have the transparency status and navigation bar

and no transparent background in the app drawer also

that's the nexus 5-specific launcher, I think...there have been mentions on XDA on how to get it but still has its problems

for those who have not received the update..

you may want to try the follow..

1. clear data for Google services framework
2. force close google services framework
3. restart nexus 7
4. check update

i got the update doing the above..
