Anyone use nova launcher on their n7? Is it battery draining?

To share my experience bought from B&H.

1. Order on 16 Dec 12
2. Shipping from B&H to HSG by UPS on 17 Dec 12
3. Delivered to HSG on 27 Dec 12 (Take so long due to Christmas Break)
4. Ship out from HSG to Singapore on 31 Dec 12 by DHL
5. Delivered to my place by DHL on 5 Jan 13 evening.
6. Open up immediately and can not power on. Plug in to charge and can power on but can not hold charge. Charge for 24 hours the battery still 0%
7. Sent to ASUS service centre on 8 Jan 13. Have to wait for 5 working days to repair

ouch. i hope your n7 gets repaired properly!

side note: I do have an existing account with B&H from the days when i was working in US. But i have heard that when you create a new international account, they may ask you to verify your credit card details by faxing or emailing them a copy of the card. You may want to follow up on that B&H is quite efficient and usually do not take so long to process and order... unless you ordered on a friday.

i'll give it another day then i'll email them and ask. i didnt register with B&H at all. i used a guest account. could that be the problem? i might try registering a proper account later..

hey guys i'm having problems with either my charger/battery on my N7. Yesterday the battery was at 50+% and has been standing by for about 7 days with little usage. At night when i came home, i can't on it and the power had 0% left. Then i charged it from 5pm today and until now only 80+% full. 4 hours + liao havent 100% full yet. How long do you guys usually take to do a full charge?

I bought my N7 32gb 3G 2 days ago from a local dealer who has a shop in Sim Lim Sq for $450. Call him to check for his stock but stock ran out, waited for 4 days and he delivered to my home. Save me the anxiety of non arriving order or delayed stock, that's why I still prefer to deal direct. Warranty is covered globally, so no concern at all. Best is his home delivery service, so it's well worth to pay a little more.

I read B&H says Paypal facility is only for USA paypal accounts. Your paypal account was registered locally? Wonder whether there is even a difference in the first place and how would B&H detect? Of course, using paypal is better.

Even on standby 7 days also I doubt the battery could last for 7 days standby.

2nd thing is are you using the original cable. If no then please use it. Are you using the original charger? If so then you should charge the most 2 and a half hours to 3 at max.

Our charger is at 2A not 1A. Wires also play a part. Long or short all have different resistance.

I got my B&H account when I was working and staying in US, so I used a US credit card, which didn't require a stupid verification. Plus, I've ordered tons of photography stuff from them before with no problems so my orders usually just breeze through the process, so when I changed my payment info in B&H to a SG credit card, there were no issues.

Wah lan. When I was at the service centre this afternoon I think twice about buying their laptop. Next is their transformer pad. Got hinge problem. Cannot dock properly. Wifi cannot connect properly. Padphone connector port to the tablet also worn off after long usage.

I seriously second this statement, seeing is believing. I went to the service centre on a weekday to send in and collect, on both occassions, during the hour and a little more, there were at least 10 laptop, 1 of the tablet and at least 2 latest pad phone / monitor going in for service.

how many they can sell possibly in Singapore, I assume at least 10% will be subjected to the 1 hour refugee examination treatment and anther hour to collect after 5 days.

If I have known about this fact, I won't have ever touch this brand. I send in a lousy feedback when they asked and I did not even get a response, you can guess the number of hash comments they are getting.

Good luck to the brave who order in from US.

Using it for a while now, I really like the 7" form factor, I also own the Motorola Xoom2 so I can confidently say Xoom2 will out last the nexus 7.

Mine's HSPA 10

Weird Firefox can run but my Chrome and some apps suddenly cannot use SH HSPA.

Error message:HTTP Error 504 : Gateway Timeout

Anyone knows how to set it bad, most apps are fine just Chrome and a few apps

got that error 504 error once awhile on my Iphone too..

Suspect Starhub Proxy or somewhere is overloaded..

Don't let your battery run flat or you risk being able to recharge it (lots of instances of this issue reported; google it; you will also find suggestions on how to resolve this). Yes, make sure you use the original (or equivalent) 2A charger required by this high capacity battery. Earlier, I made the mistake of using a "std" charger (1A), and the N7 took forever to get a full charge!
