Blown speakers are pretty common in N7 unfortunately.

any idea the asus service centre provides a 1-1 exchange? Heard that still need to pay for replacement of parts? (thought covered by 1yr warranty..)

Sian..need to wait until wednesday then can call..lol

The advertisement say that Nexus 7 can last for 9.5 hours without charging. I been using Nexus7 for a week but my battery can only last about 5hours + . When I go to see the battery usage, it say my mediaserver take up 49% . I seldom use it to listen to music but I got kugou installed and download a couple of song locally. What is mediaserver ?

Last time I play this game call Tribze. It does the same thing, causing battery drain through mediaserver. Once I deleted the game battery life improved. Thing is even if I close the game completely, the mediaserver was still running. See if u hv those kind of games or not.

Just spent $100+ SGD on the portenzo bookcase... Now have to wait for the case to be made and wait for it to arrive to Singapore >.<

Should be covered by warranty. But u can basically forget about 1 to 1, that doesn't exist these days less Apple products. :(

Even now apple products dont one to one directly.

Will see the issues first. If it is within repairs they will repair and give you back a few days later. If not then they will one to one.

Custom Rom loh lol.

Have been changing here and there recently.

Modaco, Slim Bean, CyanogenMod and ParanoidAndroid.

All 4, Slim Bean has the best performance due to its OS is not more than 100mb. And very lightweight. Lesser bloatware, and last but not least charged fully and taken out at 10pm. Discharging from 10pm to 7am drop 0%. sometimes 1%.

CyanogenMod is not as good as Slim bean but is 2nd on my list. With CyanogenMod Kernel and OS is slightly bigger than Slim Bean at about 135mb. Discharging from 10pm to 7am drop 2%.

ParanoidAndroid is about the same as CyanogenMod. Discharging from 10pm to 7am 2% to 3% drop.

For Modaco is the worse among all 4. Modaco is just a polished version of stock 4.2.1. Discharging from 10pm to 7am drop 4% to 5%.

EDIT: Another way is to detect what app is draining your battery.

Hmm..okay i will check Slim Bean out.

But of course i would very much like to stay stock if possible.

Seems like when i check battery stats the android os is the main draining during the night.
