Don't know yet if there's gonna be a new version. Suggest you wait till end of next week as Google might be announcing something new.

And no, $455 is not a good price. There are some physical shops selling at a cheaper price.

The way I read that was the main focus is on software dev. It doesnt mean google isnt going to launch Nexus 7 gen 2. Anyway, if there is a new tablet unveiled, we will know as early as Thursday. If not, it should be all over the news this weekend if it was announced during Google I/O event this week.

help any bros?

For my RMA experience (laptop, tablet) with Asus so far, I do not have the need to bring along the receipt or warranty card so far. They are probably basing on the online warranty that you have registered online.

For my latest Nexus 7 RMA experience with Asus, I did not register online, no receipt, no warranty card. Probably they know that the unit is launch less than 1 year, and hence does not ask for any proof.

Sigh, was hoping a new Nexus 7 would be announced during this Google IO. If they are not going to announce (few days left), I doubt they will announce such a keynote product during a smaller event.

Nonetheless, the Nexus 7 in my house (wife took it...) is still a pretty good device. Nice form factor. 32GB is enough. Get the latest Android versions from Google. Can't really complain much.

Might consider getting another for myself.
